On keg at the Stockbridge Tap. Appearance - deep cherry red. Thin but attractive head. Nose - dominated by sweet raspberry fruit. Some sour tang in there. Taste - it starts a bit sweet raspberry but the sourness starts to take hold. Each sip is more sour raspberry. Palate - light to medium bodied with a tangy texture and a long dry tangy finish. Overall - lovely beer.

On tap. Pours a red brown with moderate head. Aromas of raspberries. Flavors of tart dry raspberries with toasty malt. Nice for a raspberry beer not too sweet or artificial.

330 ml bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 6/17/2015. Pours fairly crystal clear deep ruby red/light brown color with a small dense off white head with solid retention, that reduces to a thin spotty lace cap that lingers. Minimal spotty lacing clings on the glass, with some light streaming carbonation. Aromas of big tart/sour raspberry, lemon, lime, orange, green apple, pear, red grape, wheat, spicy rye bread, light pepper, hay, straw, light lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of raspberries, fruity/acidic yeast, and moderate rye/wheat malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big tart/sour raspberry, lemon, lime, orange, green apple, pear, red grape, wheat, spicy rye bread, light pepper, hay, straw, light lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Moderate fruity/acidic tart/sourness and light spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of sour raspberry, lemon, lime, orange, green apple, pear, red grape, wheat, spicy rye bread, hay, straw, light lacto funk, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Damn nice complexity, robustness, and balance of raspberries, fruity/acidic yeast, and moderate rye/wheat malt flavors; with a great malt/sourness balance, and zero astringent flavors after the finish. Moderate dryness from acidity as well. Medium carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, moderately acidic, and lightly grainy/bready/creamy mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 4.9%. Overall this is a great fruited Berliner weisse. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of raspberries, fruity/acidic yeast, and moderate rye/wheat malt flavors; very smooth and refreshing to drink with the moderate acidity. A very enjoyable offering.

From bottle at Mi2 at Cardinal 29.08.16. Red colour. Hints of pink in uneven head. Aroma of red berries, malt, tobacco and gooseberries. Similar taste, with even more tobacco.
