The St. Paul Speciale is an amber coloured, high-fermented abbey beer of Brouwerij Sterkens. This beer was brewed according to the so-called purity law of 1516. Thanks to the dryhopping technique, which adds hops after the fermentation, it has a sweet, fruity aroma with notes of caramel and malt. The Speciale has a rich, sweet and slightly bitter taste.

Dobre i smaczne piwo. Nie tak mocne jak to belgowie nas przyzwyczaili. Tresciwe ciemno brazowe piwo z wielka czapa piany. Troche nawet osadu bylo w butelce. Piana jest trwala. Piwo srednio wysycone. Ciekawa smukla i dluga buteleczka.

On sale from rakuten for 350 yen. It is a nice fruity & malty beer with a dark reddish brown color. It had lots of carbonation and a nice mouthfeel. Pretty good.

Bottle at home in London with Lyoli. Pours clear amber with a small, off-white head. Some caramel and apple in the nose, with toasted malts. Medium sweet flavor, toasty malts, some ripe fruits like cherries, caramel. Medium in body with fine to average carbonation. Sweet, lightly sticky finish, toasty caramel, faint alcohol and fruits. Toasty sugars. Not bad.

Bottle @ Berts Bierhuis, Utrecht. Pours cloudy amber with a frothy head. Lots of tart fruit, caramel and yeast. Medium bodied. Lively carbonation. Rough around the edges and very dominated by yeast.
