Sugary sweet with artifical passion fruit and an odd grapefruit-like bitterness. There’s more than one resemblance to sweetened tonic. Avoid, even if you are a kid or an uncurable sweet tooth.

250 ml bottle, from Matkroken Stokka. BB date 04.01.15. ABV is 3.2%. Orangeish-pinkish colour, moderate off-white head. Aroma of artificial peach candy and tropical fruits. Very sweet flavour, strong notes of sweet and sour tropical fruits, again notes of artificial peach candy. A bit too far out on the weird side.

Further expansion of the Max theme, stemming from the Jacobins brand of Bockor ’lambic’ or lambic derivatives. This one is an amber coloured, light summer beer made with passion fruit extract, which is nearly all that the nose gets; lemonade-like, very sweet taste totally dominated by the artificial passion fruit, slight tartness but cloying nevertheless. Like many other light, overtly sweet fruit beers, only suitable for people who don’t really like the taste of beer.

0.25l bottle. Actually been trying to avoid this for a while, but I guess I have to drink it st some point. Pours a cloudy really warm peach red body with a small quickly sidesticking white pinkish head. Smells sweet and sugary with lots of sweet fruity nuances. Sweet cherries, lychee, passion fruit and peaches. Lots of sweetness, but it's still not way over the top. It's actually not as bad I had feared. Yeah it's sugary and sweet as heck in the mouth but it's still drinkable. Or sip-able at least Like how the artificial sweet fruits comes through in the taste. Not directly cloying, but it contains a lot of sugar. A herbal bitterness help kinda balancing it a tiny bit, but I'm glad this is a small bottle. 27.02.2014

250 ml bottle. Slightly unclear orange body with a fast disappearing white head. Aroma is artificial like wine gums. Flavor is way too sweet, artificial sour candy fruit. No bitterness and no beer flavors. Medium body and aftertaste with the same flavor as the rest. I thought they have stopped ruining the lambic reputation like this by now?

250ml bottle at home. Pours hazy pale cherry, no head. Aromas are low-fat generic fruit yoghurt, passion fruit in there, also grapefruit and peach melba. Taste is sweet, with a faint memory of sourness. Coats the tongue with something. Not very good.

Bottle. An unclear, orange colored beer with a minimal-sized white head. The aroma is sugary, candy-ish, with an artificial fruityness. The flavor is sweet as hell and lighlty sourish, with a sticky feeling on the palate. Sweet, fruity and artificial finish. Overall, way too sweet this one, even though there’s a little sourness going on. Sure won’t come back to this one. 140207

27.10.2013, 0,25l bottle @ home:
Small shortlasting head. Aroma is very sweet artificial passionfruit and peach syrup, sugar, caramel malts. Taste is sugar, sour-ish cherry/passionfruit/peach soda powder and syrup. Horrible, this is more like an alcopop made for kids or something like that.
