Here in Brooklyn we’ve combined European malt and hops, Belgian dark sugar, and raw wildflower honey from a New York family farm to create Brooklyn Local 2. Our special Belgian yeast adds hints of spice to the dark fruit, caramel, and chocolate flavors. After 100% bottle re-fermentation, this ale reveals a marvelous dry complexity, enjoyable by itself or at the dinner table.

750ml bottle. Filmy ruby red colour with average to huge, firm, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Fruity and yeasty aroma, hints of cherries, blue grapes, rhubarb, black currant, fruit parings, underlying caramel malty basis. Taste is dry fruity, hints of dark fruit and fruit parings, a touch of choclate in the last third, spicy yeasty overtones; lively carbonation.

Associated Supermarket, Bushwick 750ml ($10): Pours brown with a tan head. Aroma is fruity, yeast, sugar, and honey. Taste is rather malty. Somewhat sweet and honey aftertaste. Alcohol is well-covered. Some minor hops are present. Body is not too heavy... I would say mediumish. This ain’t bad.

Välbalanserad och god. Smak av honung, karamell, mörkt socker och belgisk jäst. Snäll, mjuk och rund i smaken.
