We brewed Lost and Found Abbey Ale to pay homage to the great monastic breweries of Belgium. Like us, we hope you’ll take the time to discover a beer that breathes aromas of figs, raisins and candied fruits. Please join us by raising your glass as we offer a toast to patience, perseverance, and all the things we have lost along the way and were somehow lucky enough to find once again.

’08 bottle. Pours reddish/brown, thick off white head. Aroma loaded with raisins, some caramel malts toffee like, grainy with touch of yeast. Flavor, lots of thick fruit palate, raisins, berries, some yeast. Contact of fruits is followed by notes of caramel malts, hints of chocolate and light fruit sourness. Pleasantly surprised with this one.

Opaque reddish-brown. Aroma of plum, orange, raisin, some sweet brown sugar and caramel malts. Fairly clean but yeasty. The carbonation is a bit zippy. Finishes with raisin notes, alcohol heat and a hint of peachiness.

Bottle: Mild brown pour with a large beige head. Dark fruits and dusty malt are presented first, followed by Belgian spiciness. The flavor is a rather well blended combo of dark fruit, raison/figs, malts, Belgian spices, and a light amount of yeast. Very smooth and easy drinking. Thanks Jordan for bringing this back; another treat from LA.
