A life worth living is full of discovery and we are reminded everywhere there is opportunity. All it takes is desire to seek out and find these things, these moments and everything in between. We brewed Lost and Found Abbey Ale to pay homage to the great monastic breweries of Belgium. Like us, we hope you’ll take the time to discover a beer that breathes aromas of figs, raisins and candied fruits. Please join us by raising your glass as we offer a toast to patience, perseverance, and all the things we have lost along the way and were somehow lucky enough to find once again.

Clear dark brown body that sits beneath a thick, creamy, tan head that laces nicely as well. Complex malty aroma - dark fruits, molasses, candy and raisins. Rich sweet flavor that follows the aroma. Tasty!

Draft. Brown approaching black body. Frothy, off-white head, rapidly diminishing. The aroma has notes of roasted malts (with a hint of burnt malts), bread, nuts herbs, resin, earthiness, barnyard and smoke. The flavor is lightly to moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body with a watery texture that turns sticky. Lively carbonation. Very nice aroma, but the flavor doesn’t live up to the aroma’s billing. The thin mouthfeel that turns syrupy is a let-down. Too bad.

750 ml bottle at Brickskellar, shared with Freddie. Brown, edge head. Aroma of cocoa. Taste starts with cocoa, and slight sourness, dry, bitter finish. Interesting.

750ml corked bottle. Poured a brown color with a brown, thick head, contained a lot of lacing. Aroma was malty, with raisins and other dried fruits, and a pretty yeasty character. Flavor was heavy on the raisins as well as the sweet, almost candy like sugars. Probably not my most favorite beers, but decent none-the-less.

1 pt. 9.4 fl. oz. bottle, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 8.0%. Ale brewed with raisins. Reddish brown colour, big to moderate off-white head. Fairly strong aroma of Belgian ale yeast, brown candi sugar and raisins, hints of oak and old sherry. The flavour has notes of spices, malts, candi sugar and raisins, but is not very sweet. Moderate hops in the finish. Dangerously drinkable for its strength!
