A life worth living is full of discovery and we are reminded everywhere there is opportunity. All it takes is desire to seek out and find these things, these moments and everything in between. We brewed Lost and Found Abbey Ale to pay homage to the great monastic breweries of Belgium. Like us, we hope you’ll take the time to discover a beer that breathes aromas of figs, raisins and candied fruits. Please join us by raising your glass as we offer a toast to patience, perseverance, and all the things we have lost along the way and were somehow lucky enough to find once again.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein trübes rötlichbraunes Bier mit schöner Schaumkrone. Geruch nach getrockneten Früchten, Hefe, Karamell. Geschmack hefig, Karamell, Früchte, leicht gewürzig.

Copper caramel draft pour at beer junction. Light tasting belgian flavor and aroma. Well hidden alchohol. Not the best from Lost Abbey, but overall a great beer.

Tap. Pours red hazel, tiny tan head, bit of lacing. Aroma is spiced, cinnamon, allspice, almost like a punkin beer. Flavor is supper spiced, medium sweet, not much bitterness, ginger, fruit cake. Dammit, lay off the fucking spices already! Medium body.

Got in a trade with swingracex. 750 ml bottle into chalice, bottled on 5/1/2012. Pours slightly hazy deep ruby red color with a 1 finger dense and fluffy khaki head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big raisin, fig, pear, apple, toast, clove, pepper, brown bread, candi sugar, molasses, light chocolate, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of malt and yeast ester notes; with good strength. Taste of raisin, fig, pear, toast, clove, pepper, brown bread, candi sugar, molasses, chocolate, and yeast earthiness. Lingering notes of dark and light fruits, clove, pepper, toast, candi sugar, molasses, chocolate, brown bread, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Awesome balance and complexity of malt and fruity/spicy yeast flavors; with a great malt/spiciness balance and zero cloying sweetness after the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full bodied; with a moderately slick, creamy, and lightly crisp mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a highly excellent Dubbel style! All around great balance and complexity of malt and fruity/spicy yeast flavors; and very smooth and crisp to sip on. A highly enjoyable offering.

Refrigerated 75 cl corked and caged brown, bottled on date May 31, 2012, bottle set on the counter for a bit and poured into a tulip. Pours translucent medium brown with big light brown head. Aroma is nice dark fruit (mostly raisin), medium body, medium carbonation, and nice small bubble lacing. Taste is dark fruit (mostly fig and some raisin), some ash, and finishes a little dry. Not that complex, easy to drink, better as it warms, and bottle is probably a little past its prime.

Send flasken hit igjen...

Bottle as shown. Pours a clear copper with medium beige head that diminishes quickly. The aroma is raisin malt and fruit. Medium mouthfeel with a sweet raisin and caramel. Easy to drink, a good dubbel from Lost Abbey.
