Bavik's version of a low alcohol pale lager, at De Planck in Ghent. Medium thick, snow white, moussy, slowly opening head, cristal clear golden blonde robe with strings of vivid sparkling. Aroma of soggy chicken corn, cooked green beans, plastic, chalk, plaster, rubber, grass - every bit as unattractive as you'd expect from the style. Neutral onset, very sharply carbonated, numbing, accentuating a simple and thin grainy sourishness that becomes a tad sweeter and very cereally further on; chalk- and plaster-like flavours in the finish, wet paper with a slight grassy touch, as well as a lingering mineral effect from the strong carbonation. Dull, simple, thin, grainy and plastic-ish: even within its generally not very interesting style (politely put), this seems below average.

27/XII/15 - 25cl bottle @ Huyze Vacas (Waterland-Oudeman) - BB: n/a (2015-1814)
Clear pale blond beer, creamy white head, pretty stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: very malty, grains, hay, rural touch, some cow fodder. MF: lively carbon, medium to light body. Taste: grains, cow fodder, hay, some citrus, very metallic. Aftertaste: soft bitterness, very metallic, grains, watery finish. Meh. Glad I didn't walk all the way from Waregem train station to Gasolina in the pouring rain after Winterbieren Festival (Vichte) for this one, and I just stumbled upon it only a couple weeks later at Vacas' place. ;)
