The Saison Dupont Bio* is a top fermentation, blond beer with refermentation in the bottle.
Created in 1990 and together with the Moinette Bio*, one of the two first organic* beers.
The Saison Dupont bio* is a very thirst-quenchening beer with a outspoken bitterness and dryness.
You will discover a touch of citrus (especially pomelo) which even is a strenghtening of this thirst-quenchening aspect.
The long refermentation in the bottle ends up in a very complex but light beer.
The production is being controlled by Certisys and has the label Biogarantie®.

bottle from Village de la Bière. Hazy golden colour, mid-sized white head. The aroma reminds me of Belgian witbiers. Malty, wehaty and yeastywith a spicy touch reminding me of a witbier. Tart flavours of wine grapes and gueuze beers are also present. Refreshing and highly interesting - my first beer of the style (and hopefully not the last one).

From Gollem in Amsterdam, bottle? - Pours hazy gold with a lingering white head. It smells of pale malt and fruit. Flavors include the sweet malt up front with very well balanced, mild, earthy hops joined by spices and some farmhouse character. It’s medium bodied and so drinkable.

25cl Bottle @ Café Gollem. Cloudy golden colour, big white head. Very sweet fruity aroma of apple and pear, yeast and some hops. Flavour is not half as fruity as the aroma suspects, a little malty sourness (don’t know how to explain it otherwise), a bit of spice and a lot of dryness. Fairly high carbonated, making it hard for the flavours to come out, so I found this one to be rather one-dimensional.

Bottle courtesy of mgermani: Poured a cloudy beige color head with a huge foamy head with great retention and some good lacing. Aroma of funky yeast is well balance with the floral malt base and the dry European hops. Taste is also a very well balance mix between some spicy and dry European hops (Saaz?), some floral and lightly sweet Belgian malt and a controlled funky yeast strain. Full body with great carbonation makes this an easily drinking beer with loads of character. This should be my every day beer but unfortunately I don’t have access to it on a regular basis.

Bottle picked up from Dranken Geers, Gent, Belgium, March 08 and saved for a gloriously sunny day in my back garden like today 08-06-08 Pours hazy golden orange with a huge rapidly rising white foamy monster of a head. lovely lemony yeasty aroma. Great summery refreshing beer, the taste is tingly with a nice tang, some yeasty and citric mostly softened (cooked) lemon other fruits are there but I struggle to determine what they are, in fact I’m just enjoying this so here endeth my rating. Very good beer.
