Bottle at Dangerous Bottleshare #8, thanks to Brandon for sending me this!. Pours a hazy dark orange with a thick slightly offwhite head. Aromas of peach, nectarines, strawberry, white wine, brett, floral notes, horse blanket, citrus peel, some pretty dirty oaky notes. Taste is fruity, tart, citrus, strawberries, wild strawberries, dirt, barnyard, oak, dry vinous notes. Very nice!

On tap @ The Gingerman. This is a cloudy looking peach orange colored one with a small sidesticking yeah, white head. Smells a bit like paint thinner. Sour and mild woody. Nice enough but not too amazing really. Oh, this is like drinking vinegar - in a good way! Really sour, sharp, wrenching and lactic! Mild oily in the mouth and it's softly on the prickling carbonation. Mild malt vinegar with lots of sour tomatoes, green strawberries and sour peaches. Wow, lots of flavor. Almost too much? Liked it! 09.06.2015

375 mL bottle poured. Much thanks to Tim for the bottle. I’ve been looking to this bottle for what seems like forever. Very cloudy orange color with a rocky bubble head. Aroma of sour orange, and sweet berry. Flavor is strawberry, mixed berry, and sour orange. Interesting thing about this, it got continuously better as it sits and warms. Sourness a 5/10, but it’s interesting how complex this grows into. Sweet and sour strawberry finish. Worth the long wait for sure, but didn’t quite blow me away either.

Pours clear blonde, rather small white head. Smell is intense, very fruity. strawberries up front, mandarines is more in the back of the scent. Some sourness as well, hint of funk. No real oak in the scent. Taste is sharp , sour and very dry. Sourness gets countered by the fruit. Well mixed between both, but strawberries have the upperhand. Funk and oak aren’t very intense in this. Fruit builds up in the ending. Another nice one from Almanac!

Thanks to Rian for sharing! Nice floral nose. Fresh fruit, nice sour aroma. The beer starts tart and sourish-fresh. Smooth strawberries, yellow nectarines, fresh and deep-fruity sourness. Very great smooth-dry with hints of fruity sweetness. Fresh long and smooth aftertaste, great fresh fruits, intense, fruity, great!

Rating #4800!: Hazy deep copper and blonde coloured body with a bit of a tan head that fades very fast. Aroma of sour grapes, cherries, raspberries, yeast, sour oak, gueuze and a bit of apple sweetness. Light-bodied; Tart start with a bit of a raspberry flavour, some light cherry and oak notes and a very smooth herbal and grassy flavour to couple with the very light malt. Aftertaste is more tart than sour and more cherry than raspberry, but with a bit of a subtle complexity, a nice finish. Overall, a good beer, but not superb nor worth searching out for - there are better beers in this style that are readily available. Nice to try, and I’m glad to have it for a rating milestone (on the hundreds). I sampled this 37,5 cL split bottle purchased from Super Jr Market (BestDamnBeer Shop) in San Diego, California on 07-June-2013 for US$10,99 sampled at home in Washington on 15-November-2014. Bottled: Summer 2013 (label), Purchased: June 2013, Sampled: November 2014.
