Bottle. Earth and sour yeast aroma with some fruit. Flavor has light berry that cuts the sourness. Dry finish.

Bottle received in trade. Thank you Bytemesis! Pours hazy pale golden with a frothy white head that slowly dissipates while leaving some thick lacing on the glass. Smell is sour, fruity and tiny phenolic with crackers, frozen strawberries, mandarin oranges, lemon juice, ah, dry soil, white pepper corns, white grapes, moist wood and barnyard. Taste is sour and fruity with crackers, smashed strawberries, unripe mandarin oranges, lemon juice, orange juice, hay, gooseberries, green grapes, white wine vinegar, moist wood, lime juice, dry soil and barnyard. Mouthfeel is very dry, tart, mouth-puckering and light to medium bodied. Finish is sour and fruity with crackers, lemon juice, mandarin oranges, blood orange juice, frozen strawberries, hay, unflavored yoghurt, lime juice and hay. Tasty and very refreshing!

Sample at Kurtkeller 006: Cascade-tastic 01 on 02/21/2014. Hazy golden color with a medium white head that dissipates steadily. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Strawberry, cloves and yeast in the nose. Medium-bodied with flavors of sweet strawberries, nectarine, oak and funky yeast. The finish is fruity with a strawberry and oak aftertaste. Good beer all around.

At Jupiter during Sour Sunday 2014. (my first one from this brewery) Almost clear orange/golden with a small head. This was a suprise, really refreshing and with a pleasant sourness. Berries, oak, funk and strawberries. Quite a lot of bubbles and with a nice balanced finish.

375 ml bottle into tulip glass, no bottle dating. Pours very hazy/cloudy golden orange color with a 2 finger fairly dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a large amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Aromas of tart green apple, strawberry, nectarine, lemon zest, hay, straw, oak, clove, vinegar, leather, pepper, musty funk, and yeast earthiness. Very nice aromas with good complexity and balance of fruit, oak, and yeast notes; with good strength. Taste of tart green apple, strawberry, nectarine, lemon zest, hay, straw, oak, clove, vinegar, pepper, musty funk, light leather, and yeast earthiness. Fair amount of fruity/earthy tartness on the finish; with lingering notes of tart apple, strawberry, nectarine, lemon zest, hay, grass, vinegar, oak, clove, pepper, funk, light leather, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Fantastic complexity and balance of fruit, oak, and yeast flavors; with a great tartness/sweetness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. High carbonation and medium bodied; with a very smooth, crisp, and moderately acidic mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a highly excellent fruited sour ale. All around great complexity and balance and fruit, oak, and yeast flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

Sampled at GABF 2013. Pours a hazy gold with some white head. Funky nose, rhubarb, wood pulp, pithy, some lurking acidity. Flavor has acetic acid, lemon, peach, grass. Acetic finish. Solid.

Bottle thanks to txultrarunner. Pours a cloudy orange with small white head. The aroma is strong sour fruit, strawberry. Thin mouthfeel with light tart strawberry and lingering sourness. Very impressive.

Bottle. Hazy gold with consistent head. Nose is Brett and oak. Flavor is a blast of Brett bacteria with a rotten oak finish. I don’t get any type of fruit anywhere in the taste of Flavor. Just strong sourness. Long tartness on the palate. I guess I’m missing what is going on in this brew.

I actually can’t remember who sent me this one. The fact an SF company is brewing this makes me happy. I LOVE the Summer Farmers Markets both at the ferry building and in civic center. Fresh Strawberries is totally right!
A - Looks like a berliner. Straw yellow, effervescent bubbles.
S - Very acetic with hinds of vinegar and apricots with I guess strawberries but not a lot of aroma from these.
T - Wow. Very sour. I’m not getting much grape or tannic properties from the wine barrels..oh yeah, okay at the finish there’s some grape skin tastes. Sour from start to finish, loads of fruit. very unique and interesting.
M - Thin, sort of warhead sour puckerness
O - Decent sour but too sour for me and the fruit used is not all that good choice to compliment such a sour beer.
