At Single Trip Tasing. "Tom Pale Ale" hopped with Aramis - but who is Tom? Anyway: thick and frothy, egg-white, moussy, lacing head over a hazy straw-golden blonde beer with strings of fierce, visible fizz. Aroma of dried banana, old bread, green beans, paper, old lemon zest, dust, straw, soap, iron shavings, minerals, fried parsley. Dryish, restrainedly fruity onset, hint of green banana, unripe pear perhaps, minerally, vivid carbonation; grainy, lightly bread crust-like malty middle, floral and tad earthy hoppy finish, bit herbal but more grassy, graininess remaining alongside a well-measured hop bitter note. Belgian blonde was originally conceived as a top-fermenting rival to the omnipresent standard pale lager, and this achieves just that: more lager-like than usual in its grainy and only very restrainedly sweet character, quite refreshing and flawless, but not very exciting either.

Clear bright orange beer, big aery fizzy white head, pretty stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: lots of grains, malt, straw and hay, bit of overripe fruits. MF: lots of carbon, medium to light body. Taste: some citrus, pretty bitter, chemical touch, like thinner or something, some citrus, grassy touch. Aftertaste: bit sourish, citrus, grains and hay, nice soft bitterness, bit fruity, some summer fruits, sweet malts. I like the hops, don't like the grains and malts.

Bottle sample at a tasting at the Beer & Beyond shop. Thanks beerandbeyond. No label, just "TPA" handwritten on the bottle. Clear yellow. Aroma is a bit yeasty and fruity with light floral hops notes. Slightly sweetish flavor, a bit stale, fruity, with a slightly bitter finish. Medium-bodied.
