Space and Time is a double mash, extended boil Imperial Stout. It is pure, rugged, and laced with bold flavor as a function of extraordinary European roasted & crystal malts.
Amid a world of sweetness Space & Time rebels, putting forth intense flavors of baker’s chocolate roasted malt, and a firm, sturdy bitterness that entices the next sip. It asks us to reflect upon the inexorable march of time.
Enjoy!

16oz can pours a near opaque black with some beige, ringing head. Ode to malt on the nose, grain, roast, toast, caramel, licorice, molasses. Flavors all follow. Amp up the cake and cocoa but its super sweet and grainy. Sweet, full bodied, long. Old school.

Charlton draught, 4/10/25.
Dark, probably clear. Pretty well-retained, creamy, tan head.
Rich, malty, toasty with coffee, dark chocolate, burnt toast and licorice. For being double mashed and extended boiled, it's certainly not giving off intense maltiness. Mostly just roast, honestly.
But thankfully the maltiness is there, in spades, in flavor. Roast, char, licorice, soy, earthiness and deep, dark fruits follow, with a luxurious, rich, malty finish that is sweet, but not too much so.
This beer brings up a philosophical question. If it's not Barrel-Aged, then what are you balancing the sweet, rich, intense malt with? Your options are hops and/or roast, assuming no adjunct. They've used roast here, and it's done well, but I'd MUCH rather have bourbon/oak as the balancing component. As would the majority of beer nerds, it seems. Still, a technically well-done beer if maybe just a bit sweet and syrupy on the end.

Pours a thick oily black from a can, light brown head. Plenty of molasses but also some rye (the grain) and bourbon (the bourbon) in the nose. Flavor is rather sweet--in fact I wish it was somewhat toned down--with not a lot of bitterness. Some caramel notes and chocolate as well. Pretty good beer.

Can (3/30/20) pour from the brewery, Charlton. Appearance is opaque very very dark brown-virtually black with nice sparkle at the edges of the glass, finger-width reddish-dark brown fizzy head with poor retention and no lacing. Aroma is rich roasted malt and with coffee--I'd swear there was lactose in here. Taste is sweet roasted malt with fruit and what seems like lactose. Mouthfeel is medium-to-full bodied with silky smooth texture, soft carbonation, wonderful alcohol warmth down the esophagus and bittersweet finish with light lingering bitterness. Overall, not the most complex offering nor novel as I feel like I've had a number of TH Stouts that are fairly similar. But, always high quality.

Can traded by Willrunforbeer / COVID 19 virtual tasting 24 May 2020. Flavor is roast, coffee, roasted barley. No alcohol even after the swallow. However, the warming does warm the belly. Really rich and smooth!

Can thanks to Dave. Pours a very dark brown with small tan head. The aroma is roasted malt and chocolate. Slick body, dark chocolate, light roast, boozy finish, very nice.

Pours a thick, dark, brown-black, with smallish tan head that quickly dissipates. Aroma is sweet with chocolate, coffee, roasted grain. Flavor follows and also includes some licorice, caramel, vanilla. Just a slight touch of bitterness. Very smooth and delicious.

On tap at ACBF 6/1/2013 Rich chocolate roast and smokey toffee aromas with a hint of caramel sweetness. Toffee smoke roast chocolate and molasses flavor with a nice bitter earthy hop bite. Great IMP stout.
