Our bold imperial oatmeal porter, Double Pot & Kettle, is aged on American oak and vanilla beans. We add Dark Belgian Candi Sugar which is responsible for furthering the depths of charred fruit and roasted flavors. This special sugar bumps up ABV up to 9%, but its tremendous fermentability results in the same smooth drinkability you have come to enjoy in Pot & Kettle.

Bottle shared at Kernel Brewery at Zwanze Dat 20/09/2014. Thanks to Mike. Clear Dark black opour with a short lived light tan coloured head. Aroma is caramel and sweet choc, praline and nutty malts. Flavour is composed of sweet praline, hint of mint, nice choccy malts, toasted coconut. Really nice rounded malt character. Palate is medium bodied, but really silky smooth, with highish carbonation. Lingering praline and toast.

Moderate chalky cocoa in the aroma, light roast, milk chocolate. Medium sweet flavor with dried fruits, burnt marshmallows, earth, roast, burnt meat. Medium to full bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly warming to finish with burnt wood and nicely dynamic chocolate. Solid beer.

Bottle split at Mother Arch during the 2014 Zwanze Celebrations, big thanks to Mikey M Orse, 20/09/14. Light black with a big old tan covering that retains well. Nose carries light plastic notes, good roasted tones, cocoa rub, toffee fudge. Taste comprises rich chocolate, toffee, lighter roast, hint of chilli, macadamia nuts. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, roasty close. Ok porter but didn’t deliver much for this Bois ABV considered!

Bottle thanks to Mike. It pours dark brown with a decent tan head. The nose is rich, roasty, toasty coconut, cocoa, earth, dried fruits and vanilla. The taste is bitter, rich roast, cola, caramel, earth, toast, dried fruits, fruit cake and mild alcohol with a dry, short finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Really rather drinkable. Nice.
