Bottle. Purple red color Raspberry juice aroma. Sugary sweet flavor with artificial raspberry juice and some lemon juice. Thin. Short sweetened fruit juice aftertaste. Quite drinkable in its own right.

Beoordeling ingevoerd met terugwerkende kracht. Het is een donder roodbruin bier met een dun schuim. Het heeftt een kunstmatige geur en smaak. Drinkt wel makkelijk weg.

Raspberry version in this series, which was discontinued when Riva went bankrupt. Dark reddish colour with pinkish head, aroma very grenadine-like with not much else happening, taste very sweet, grenadine, syrupy, cloying.

5/II/2012 - 25cl bottle late 90ies vintage @ vintage tasting Brugs Bierfestival - BB: V/1999 (2012-95) Thanks to Jay for the sample!

Cloudy amber to muddy brown beer, some dark brown sediment floating around above an off-white head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: raspberry lemonade, sweet syrupy, "grenadine", raspberry sorbet. MF: little carbon, medium body. Taste: sweet candy start, raspberry sorbet, sugary, very metallic undertone. Aftertaste: more raspberry candy, sugar. I hope there's a difference between this late 90'ies version in 25cl bottles with a bright pink label, and the 37.5cl bottle. Wouldn't mind trying one of those latter.

Very very nice dark brown/red color, with a deep dark red glare coming through. That’s the good part. Don’t like the smell and taste, and it’s too low on carbo.

Originally rated February 2009. Comes in a little tin bottle with a date written on the cap, that reads 03/2010. Pours a raspberry red colour with a pink head, that had decent retention and lacing. The carbonation is pretty active and found some yeast particles at the bottom of the glass . Smells like candy raspberry juice. The mouthfeel is quite nice, medium-bodied, that is still wet enough to be refreshing. The taste is overall sweet with the fruit juice, but has a little sourness in the background. I enjoyed these Fruitess brews from Liefmans (as this is my last one to review of all 4 of them). They are a nice light version of their fruit lambics.

Draft. Talked to bar staff about this one and they said it’s the framboise version - tasting would bear that out - and not the mixed fruit version. Courtesy of Colin, thank you sir! It had intense raspberry flavor, sweet start but not cloying. A girl next to me tried order a sweet, fruity wine, which the bar did not have, so I suggested she try this one. Another wine-drinker converted! Just give he time until she moves on to bigger and better beers....
