Smaksprøve servert fra fat i den nydelige hagen bak det knøttlille bryggeriet 30 Apr 11. Aprikosfarget. Uklar. Lavt kremaktig skum. Syrlig fruktaroma. Sprudlende smak med krydder- og mandelpreg. Tørr syrlig ettersmak. Hvor er alkoholen? Merkes ikke på smaken. (Prologen TdGeuze 2011).

Bottle, 75cl corked. Served at the brewery. A hazy, dark golden-orange beer with a finger thick, dense, off-white head. Pale malts, lots of fruityness, some peppery notes and a pleasant grassy and piney hoppyness on the nose. The flavor has some notes of orange peel and a decent bitterness, leading to a lasting finish. Full-bodied, smooth and dry. The 10% ABV is well hidden, and it’s dangerously tasteful and easy drinkable. I really enjoyed this one, but I also realise the fact that I might be a bit influenced by the setting, with good weather, good friends and a nice garden. 110430

750ml-pours a big rich retaining foamy/fich white head with trailing lace that foamed over when opened and a hop cone was ejected in the effluent and a cloudy straw/yellow color with some particles. Aroma is spice/lemon, secondary light malt. Taste is spice/lemon hops bite with some drying, secondary light malt. Good effervescence.

Sampled from bottle at the brewery. Hazy yellow orange body with a nice white head. Nice aroma of citric fruit, flowers, yeast and spices. Flavor is refreshing fruity, sweet, but light malty, spices, flowers and well-hidden alcohol. Very refreshing and dangerous drinkable. I startet this morning with a nasty hangover and this one fixed everyting!

Taster served from bottle during a visit to Huisbrouwerij Den Tseut. Unclear golden, medium sized, white head. Fresh citrus fruits to the nose. Champagne-like flavour with citric fruits, a bite of yeast and candy sweetness. Dry hopped ending with notes of alcohol. Well bodied. Pleasant (Oosteeklo, 30.04.2011).

Bottle - Upon opening a large object gushed out of the bottle. After a collective "WTF?" moment, it was determined that it was a hop cone! Yes, a hop cone floater. Odd, to say the least. Pours dirty blonde. White head. Little hop cone floating particles. Unfiltered, to say the least. Nose/taste of musk, yeast, orange peel, spices and hops. Medium body. Pleasant.

13/02/2011 - 75cl bottle @ De Bistronoom (2011-52)

Note: this beer is served in De Bistronoom as their housebeer, called "Den Aangespoelden", according to the owners it was already sold at their place before "Belle Cies" was put on the market.

Cloudy yellow to light orange beer. White creamy head. Aroma: very hoppy, spicy, some malts, faint yeast aroma, some of the alcohol on warming up. MF: ok fine carbon, medium body. Taste: full malts, fruity touch (peaches), hops, hint of candi sugar. Aftertaste: some candi sugar, but not cloying, taste and not too dry hops.

Bottle at Zythos Beer Festiva 2010. Cloudy golden color, fluffy white head. Light body, but fairly tasty, with decent bitterness and floral character.
