Blended Barrel-Aged Farmstead® Ale
Civil Disobedience 2020 is a blended barrel-aged Farmstead® ale. This singular iteration weaves threads into a unified tapestry from a variety of wine barrels—ranging between 10 and 15 months—including Anna®, an experimental and still unreleased wheat Farmstead® ale, Nelson Sauvin (which became Self-Reliance), and more. This beer was dry-hopped with Hallertau Mittelfrüh, Cascade, and Saaz, then bottle conditioned for 10 months prior to release.
All proceeds (100%) from the sale of this edition will go to organizations that directly support the efforts of those on the front lines of change, battling racism and tyranny despite the risks and danger, through the entirety of the release to the following organizations:
The NAACP Legal Defense Fund: www.naacpldf.org
The Innocence Project: www.innocenseproject.org

375 ml, thank you TJ. Aroma is soft lemon, mild Brett, light old peaches.
Never follow suit. The Brett is very mild and plenty of different older fruits. Also has old basement and dusty / cob web hints. Super smooth!

Bottle shared by Chalumeaux--thanks, TJ! Clear gold, no sparkle, no head or lacing. Aroma is strong, rich grape/vinous quality, milder tart fruit. Taste is grape/white wine, stronger tart fruit than aroma. Smooth texture, soft carbonation, finish as taste. The grape/vinous quality is fantastic. Really, really nice!

375mL bottle shared by Chalumeaux on 7/25/25.
Clear, rich, honey-golden-brass. Small, white head quickly to ring.
Oh baby! Clear, bright, intense house yeast character mixing with lively, fruity, elegant Brett and very minimal Lacto. No acetic. Soft oak with gentle vanilla and rich, honey-like malt. Fruity, bright and beautiful.
Rich, bright Brett and tons of Sacch. Minimal lacto and light wood with a touch of vanilla. Soft, feathery, herbal hops build on the finish. Acidity is super low, but the beer is still very well-balanced from attenuation, hop and gentle wood character. Rich, honey-like malt, actual honey and rich herbal hops lingering wonderfully on the end. A real delight.

Bottle at home in Canaan - picked up via trade. Cheers! Pours clear gold with a fluffy, pure white head. Light sweet flavour with mellow salinity, subtle funk, fresh lemon, pale wood dryness, a few cobwebs. Light bodied with delicate carbonation. Tart, quenching finish, super clean and lightly drying, further restrained citric acidity and a little salty bite. Delicious.

Bottle. Pours a pale golden with small off white head that lasts. The aroma is citrus, brett, oak, mineral, floral. Slick body, citrus, oak, nice tartness, enjoyed this.
