Dry-Hopped Sour Ale with Grapes
We’ve been friends with the folks at Smog City for many years and getting to brew a beer with them was a dream come true. Truly, only in the world of dreams could this remarkable beer have been manifested. A Belgian-style golden ale, brewed with Semillon and Viognier grapes plus three types of hops, fermented with Brettanomyces Trois as well as our house yeast strain, then blended with a sour blonde ale and finally dry-hopped with Amarillo hops.

Bottle @ Aarhus tasting. Hazy golden with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, fruity, bretty and moderate hoppy - grass. Flavor is quite sweet and light acidic. Dry and light acidic finish. 270315

Bottle, 9.5%. Slightly hazy yellow with medium white head. Aroma is malt, fruit, brett, lemon, white wine, lemon, citrus and tart. Flavour is malt, fruit, brett, lemon, little sweet, medium dry, white wine, spices, yeast, littler sour, tart, warming and medium bitter.

Bottle. Nice head with excellent duration. Color is golden. Aroma and taste are brett, grass, pepper, malt, fruits, citrus and hops. Is this a saison or a sour? I would say saison and not sour.

Bottle shared by Nate I believe. Atomic kangaroo pours a light soft gold. A prickly fruity hop nose. Medium bodied and nicely soft in terms of texture. The taste is tart, fruity & sour. Solid.

Bottle. Nose of minerals, bretty funk, pineapple. Great acid to sweet balance, very fruity, pineapple and grapefruit, white grapes. Interesting fine carbonation. Enjoyable stuff.

Pours unclear yellow , no head . Smell is fresh , sour , some fruityness . taste is sharp , dry sour , oak ( rather intense ) a bit bitterness . Grapes are rather hidden , but are there . Too much carbonation for my taste though . Mouthfeel is to the low side for the ABV but acceptable .
