Re-entering older ratings.

Tap at CCB: Poured a brown with light brown head. Aroma is nut, oatmeal, and vanilla. Taste is upfront with a nice nutty malty flavor but leaves way for the sweet vanilla finish.

Growler 100 cl. Courtesy of Plovmand. Pours a clear deep amber with a small off-white head. Rather sophisticated aroma, a little wood and nuts. Medium body, sweet vanilla beans - like the orange Malaco licorice allsorts. Roasted malts and nuts. Rather subdued bitterness. Very candy-like. 090410

Bottle from the legendary Cigar city, shared by the legendary plovmand. In the legendary beershop Ølbutikken on an ordinary wednesday afternoon. Thanks for sharing, Thomas. Clear brown, small smooth light brown head. Sweet toffee vanilla aroma. Flavor is strong, toffee, dark caramel, vanilla, faint citrussy hops to balance. Unfortunately for me, i’m not very much into brown ale, and not very much into toffee, but the quality shines through anyway.

from a 32 oz growler.....pours dark brown some red specks and a medium frothy beige head. Aroma is full of oats and chocolate malt with a nice backbone of vanilla. Rich roasty coffee and chocolate, thin vanilla, and a burnt sugar finish. I enjoy the vanilla being more refined and not overpowering. Lots of creamyness and medium to thick mouthfeel.
