On tap at Fermentoren. Pours black with tan head that lasts. The aroma is roasted malt, smoke, cocoa. Slick body, roast, cocoa, light dry finish, very good.

Bottle, 330 ml shared with Max, Miro B and Zec. Black with tan head. Roasty, chocolate, hoppy, some fruity notes, bitter finish. Medium bodied. Dangerously drinkable for abv.

Bottle, 10.5%. Pitch black colour. Small stable frothy dark brown head. Distinct sweet liquorice aroma. Oily mouthfeel. The flavour has a lot of sweet liquorice and a nicely spicy touch. Late roasted finish with warming alcohol. Alcohol bitterness in the aftertaste.

Bottle @ Il Birraiuolo, Naples. Pours cloudy nearly black with small dark tan head. Clear aroma of coffee and dark chocolate, with notes of malt and touches of yeast and dried fruit. Bitter flavour of roast and coffee, with sweetish notes of malt, lactose, yeast and chocolate. Roasty and coffeelike aftertaste with estery hints. Warming alcohol presence. Very well balanced, definitely not too sweet, and highly enjoyable. A stately imp stout!

Fermentorum. Keg. Opaque dark brown beer, small pale tan head. Smooth palate, quite light really. Modest carbonation. Soft dry dark malts, trace of roast. Spicy mid. Mild fruity licorice. Dry finish brings mild earthy coffee. It's an old school straight down the line Impy. Fine.
