Blended Barrel-Aged Stout with Toasted Coconut, a Sump Coffee, Vanilla Beans and a touch of Fresh Ground Cinnamon!

A collaboration with our friends at The Veil, Weldwerks, and Other Half. We each selected barrels for this blended base and then treated individually with our own combination of adjuncts! The final blend was aged in a variety of barrels (Weller 6, 7 & 12 yr, Blanton's, Rittenhouse Rye, Old Fitzgerald) for a range of 12 to 37 months.

Dark brown, no head. Lots of cinnamon and soft sticky malts, plenty of vanilla and a bit of a boozy finish. Good balance and assertive spice.

Poured from 750mL bottle. Near black with no head. Nice blend of balanced coffee, coconut, vanilla, and cinnamon, feint wood in the background. Enjoyable.

Cellar draught, 1/18/25.
Dark, inky, clear. Little/no head.
Bright, fruity, aromatic coconut with rich bourbon underneath and lastly the fudge, chocolate and caramel. No booze.
A bit sweeter than average from SP with the coconut amplifying that, but battled nicely by an enormous bourbon character that is richly spicy. Gently syrupy, thick, rich, viscous....love that the cinnamon is not overdone/heavy. A big beast but incredibly well-developed flavors.

pitch black color. Sticky semisweet nose with cinnamon, vanilla, bourbon, oak, coffee in the nose. Super smooth palate, alcohol is super well hidden, super low carbonation with the vanilla, dark chocolate and cinnamon lingering forever with nice coconutty finish. This is insanely good. The adjuncts, bourbon and base are perfectly well made.

Thanks Justin for sharing! Wineglass showing pitch black with no head.

The nose shows intense notes of sweet toffee and caramel.

The palate is full bodied, oily slick, and barely carbonated. Moderately sweet with flavors of brownie and dark cacao followed by a mild dark chocolate bitterness.
