Bottle @ home. Dark brown colour, beige head. Aroma of toffee and caramel, some spices. Malty. Metallic finish. Bit unbalanced. Ok.

Stereotypical Belgian Christmas ale commissioned by Coprimex and bottled both on 33 cl and on 75 cl. Off-white, moussy but not very thick foam, opening under the influence of the alcohol, colour a very dark ruby red, practically clear. Sweet fruity and malty aroma of candi, port wine, dates, coriander, raisins, banana, pear, liquorice; taste sweetish, malty, candi sugar, pleasurable spicy notes, mild sourishness for balance, in the end lightly roasted bitter with some warm alcohol and the sweetness of the candi sugar also lingering a bit. In all, a correctly made winter Scotch.

Bottle at The Kulminator, Antwerp, Belgie, 19.03.11 I think it was from 1999 Nose is a little musty and aged as one might expect. Soft carbonation in the mouth. Dark brown in colour, light beige head, some sweetness remains, but touch mouldering in mouth also, its not unpleasant but likely well past its best. A6 A4 T6 P3 Ov12 3.1

Bottle. Pours a very dark brown with a foamy tan head. Sweet roasted caramel with some dark fruit - probably raisin. Near full bodied with frothy carbonation. Flavor is sweet roast caramel with some anise, and probably some raisin. It carries a bit of heat. Finishes a bit gummy, towards dry. One is enough.

33 cL bottle, Kerstbierfestival 2007 in Essen/Belgium. Pours dark brown with a lacing light brown head. Aroma is roasted malt, dried fruity note and mild yeasty tone. Flavour is slight breadish with a note of dried fruit. Remains un-sweet without really becoming dry. Finish is breadish with a faint note of fruit. Nice brew by all means.
