Robert is a Saison brewed using both American and European malts and hops and a distinctive strain of farmhouse yeast. Primary fermentation took place in one of our unique open-top fermenters which are perfectly designed for brewing yeast forward styles like Saison. This beer has characteristics of white pepper and fruit with a lingering dry finish. Robert is refermented in the bottle and keg creating its fine carbonation.

375ml bottle is a mostly clear gold with a huge cap of rocky white head. Nose is lovely, dried grasses and herbs, potpourri, simple wood, simple grist. Light funk. Flavor is lightly sweet and very floral, herbs, grasses. Hardly any acidity. Bone dry. Nice tannins. Crazy drinkable.

Bottle from Whole Foods in Malibu. Pours a hazy, glowing gold with a fluffy full two fingers of white foam that lingers. Lovely aromas of clove, peppercorn, banana and grain. Similar on the palate with a nice Belgian saison note throughout. Light peppercorn on the finish with clove and mineral.

Cork and caged 375ml bottle, drank at my daughters during the build up to the Super Bowl on 13th February 2022. Snow white blanket of bubbles on a dull, cloudy golden body. The aroma is of dirty lemons, farmyards and coriander. The taste isn't far away from those nasal thoughts, lemon, farmyard, coriander and now with a yeasty twist within the flavours. An interesting take on the style and a success in my eye's.

Bottle from Pasadena Whole Foods: pours slightly hazy yellow with a white head. Aroma is lemon, coriander and generally just a whole hock of spice. Taste is spicy and bitter with a lemony undertone. Pretty good saison.
