Moeder Seizoen - 6.5% Foeder Saison. An old F&M classic returns for a fresh debut in the Foeder. We mashed Pilsner malt from @DeerCreekMalt, hopped it with lots of noble European hops, and fermented it in an oak foeder with our Foraged Yeast and whatever wild microbes (brett and bacteria) that have taken up residence in the wood. We’ve lovingly referred to this one as Foeder Moeder, and now you can too!
This beer feels like a new incarnation of its old self, with huge notes of ripe ripe peach and apricot jumping out of the glass; it has a balanced acidity and oak character, with whiffs of salt spray, miscellaneous herbs, some Fruit-Roll-Ups, and the Saison Joie de Vivre.

Bottle at Rittenhouse farmer's market: pours orange with white head. Aroma is citric and some floral, light funk and pleasant yeast. Taste is lightly sour, funky. Delicate, yet powerful, clean.

Bottle at home in NH. Picked up via trade. Pours mostly clear gold with a tasteful, foamy white head. Lightly sweet with lovely citric tartness, soft pale woody dryness, mellow funk, nips of boozy warmth. Light to medium bodied with spritzy, massaging carbonation. Super clean and quenching to finish. This is very good gear.

Bottle @ Ulfborg Gueuze Tasting. Pours bright hazy orange with a medium white head. Aromas esters, oak, vanilla, citrus, floral. Taste is floral, vinous, oaky, citrussy, melony, citrussy, grapey.

Has a light amber colour and some haze. The aroma is fairly bretty, with some dried flowers. Mellow bretty accent, light sweet biscuity malts, with an off-dry, slightly tart finish, and solid brett throughout.

500mL bottle, pours a cloudy golden orange with a small white head. Aroma is a bit oxidized, with rustic saison yeast, a touch of funk, and earthy cardboard notes. Flavour is along the same lines, with earthy funk, some cardboard notes, and tart citrus. Tastes rather old, but there's obviously a good beer under here. Good stuff.

Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, fruity malt, fruity, herbal, funk, light grapes, light honey. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and light acidic with a long duration, zesty, yeast, pale malt, fruity, grapes, honey, mango, oak - funky. 500 ml bottle at Gueuze tasting 2016, Ulfborg. Light hazy yellow golden color with white head. Malty, hoppy and yeasty aroma, citrusy fruity, straw, grass, floral and perfume notes, spicy, wood. Sweet and acidic taste like aroma. Medium oily body with soft carbonation.
