Tap @ Fermentoren, Copenhagen. Black with a beige head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt, coffee, dark chocolate and light nutty. Flavor is very sweet and moderate bitter. Sweet and moderate bitter finish. Oily, smooth and soft. 071123

12 ounce can from Wine Cellar De Pere, 5.31.20. Black, large foamy brown head, good retention. Aroma of roast, cherry, vanilla, chocolate, coffee. Taste is roast, cherry, chocolate, vanilla, coffee. Full bodied, flat, booze well hidden.

Can from Holiday Market. Pours a deep brown with some light ruby highlights. Coffee, vanilla and milk chocolate aromas on the nose. More roasted coffee and grain husks as it warms. Smooth on the palate but quite sweet. Almost cloying. Relatively thick body with coffee and creamer notes and chocolate brownie on the finish.

12 oz can received as a Christmas gift from my wife. The pour is opaque black bit of brown with a small tan head. The aroma is roast coffee, caramel malt, bit of cocoa, pine notes. The taste is sharp coffee, roast, bright gin like pine and alcohol heat. As the beers warm, cocoa sweet comes out. The palate is heavier bodied with soft natural carbonation and alcohol hot finish.

Sampled from the tap at GTMW 2018. Pours near black with a dark brown head that dissipates quickly to the edges. Aroma has a nice coffee note supported by bitter dark grains and roasted malts. Flavor has dark grains and roasted malts with a growing creamy coffee note.

On tap at 2nd Shift, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out loads of coffee upfront, with a silky body. Flavour is absolutely decadent, with heaps of lush coffee, light vanilla, light cocoa and almost no roast. Sweet but far from cloying. The coffee is just fantastic here. What a decadent treat.

750 ml bottle. Thanks, 316nuts. The beer is black with very narrow edges of dark brown. Fairly thick light brown head, fine foam. Nice rich coffee-forward aroma. Nice fudgey chocolate base. Moderate to medium coffee acidity but it doesn’t really get in the way too badly. Light citrus flavor. Big sweet milk chocolate base on the taste. Strong but smooth coffee flavor follows up. Medium roast and a good bit of vanilla. Nice caramel sweetness underneath the chocolate. Smooth, thick mouthfeel. Very rich on the palate. Nice big coffee stout with a chocolate syrup base. Quite tasty.

Bottle. Pours opaque black, large brown super creamy long lasting head, great lacing. Aroma is coffee, espresso, mocha, molasses, roasted malts, hints of tobacco. Flavor is light sweet, medium bitter, rich velvet mocha, huge flavor bomb. Full body, creamy mouthfeel. One of the best straight coffee imperials I have had. Kudos guys.
