750 ml waxed swing top bottle poured into a Spiegelau tulip. Batch No. 002 at 7% ABV. Light champagne yellow with a finger of fizzy off-white head that fades fairly quick like a soda. Nice head retention with about half a finger. Aromas of funk, smoke, toasted wood, slight Bretty tart notes, subtle apple. Tastes of toasted and smoked wood, lightly tart apples, moderate smoky flavors, some white wine, a bit of Brett. Medium-light body with a dry finish. Medium carbonation. Enjoyable, interesting combo that works fairly well.

Fruchtiger, wenig säuerlicher Antrunk, in dem die torfigen Noten unpassend wirken. Dafür weich, wenig herb, süffig. Spannend! 7/9/11/11//11

On draft at Brookland Pint. Poured a cloudy, medium-hued yellow color. Aroma was smoky, some light juniper spices. Aromas reminiscent of light pine. Flavor is similar, with tartness at the back roof of my mouth. Smoke finish. Good, but something i would certainly share if I had more than about 10 ounces.

Bottle - Funky and lots of feet. Clear with a bubbly white head. Lots of feet and cheese with some tart notes, dusty. Weird and funky, quite unique. I like it.

Draft at Of Love & regret. Hazy very pale yellow color, white edge head. Aroma of burning haystacks, campfire, floral pine, whoa! Taste is bright fresh apples on a background of peat and burnt bacon. Incredible.

10oz pour at Of Love and Regret. Pours a lightly hazy, gold with flashes of lime and some sudsy white head. Nose is really interesting, heavy with juniper berries, herbal, big cold smoke, rotten apple cores, mild honey, lightly industrial, perfume, muscat grapes. Flavors blend very well together, sweet crisp apple juice, some apple skin, juniper berry, lime, some wood ash, herbal, soap. Soapy, smokey finish. It’s the kind of thing I think I’m going to hate, but the meshing of flavors works so incredibly well.
