American IPA bursting with citrus aromas and flavors. You’ll find evidence of tangerine, grapefruit, orange and mango in the aroma from the multiple additions of a single hop variety, Citra. There is also a nice malt balance in this bitter, full bodied, doglicious IPA that is a citrus lovers delight.

Poured into a becher pint glass, the appearance was a sly golden yellow color with a slight transparency about it. Carbonation could be seen rising at a decent pace to fill a one finger white foamy head. Light fizz. But a balanced foamy/bubbly lace.
The aroma starts with the citra bitter to sweet hops with a touch of grassiness and then a balancing malt backbone.
The flavor leaves a little bit to be desired with the citrusy aromas to taste slightly burnt with lack of zing. Malty biscuity to caramel tones. Earthy to citrusy and bready aftertaste with a mild crisp finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Mild carbonation. ABV feels effective, fine.
Overall, weird AIPA. Though I didn’t see a date, my cohort said it was fresh thus my numbers. Unsure if I would come back to.

Draught @ Albion. Hazy darkish amber with small off-white creamy head, faint orange aroma, low carbonation, initially sweet orange/mango taste that turns bitter, thickish body, medium bitter orange finish. Not very spectacular.

Draught at Jet Rock Bar and Grill in Terminal B of PHL. Peach and apricot aroma is nice. Appearance is a murky dishwater in a golden silver color....I have never seen a beer that look like this. Flavor is tropical fruit. Hard to get past the appearance.

Bottle. A- Mango, papaya, subtle sweet onions, slightly tart. A- Orange color, hazy liquid, white head. T- Medium bitterness, mango, tropical fruits, slightly malty, weed. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, dry bitter finish. O- Everything about this beer told me it was going to be exploding with juicy citrusy goodness. And to a degree, it was there. Mango was the most prominent by far but it was not where it should have been considering what this beer was implying.
