A love of American microbrews is the inspiration behind this IPA, brewed with generous amounts of aromatic, American hops, which provide the significant freshness and bitterness with lots of citrus notes. The taste sensations are nicely balanced by the sweetness from the caramel malt.

Bottle at home from Brewdog online. Translucent burnt orange coloured pour with a big fluffy off white head. Aroma is subdued, lime lemon citrus, touch of mango and mineral. Flavour is big sharp grapefruit and lemon citrus, with other tropical fruits plying background roles. Palate is very highly carbonated, some carbonic acid bite. Assertive clean bitterness, which is in nice balance with the total beer. Good citrusy IPA.

Deep hazy amber - nice. Aroma is floral piney hops but a bit of rubbery smell in there too, which taints both the smell and taste for me. Otherwise a good very dry bitter IPA but the slight rubber/rust flavor ruins it. Maybe a bad bottle.

330ml bottle from Brewdog online shop. Pours hazy amber, big white head. Aromas of pine, resin and caramel. Taste has a big bitterness, nice balancing malt sweetness. Oily texture, nice orange end. Bitter finish. Good.

Bottle from AmmersinO, Vienna. Amber, hazy body, with massive, frothy, slightly beige, stable head, that leaves a lot of lacing. Great fruity aroma of passion fruit, mango, grapefruit, lychee, strawberry, some grass. Taste with about the same aromas, some more pine and a perfectly balanced malt backbone, with biscuit and grass notes. Mouthfeel is medium, slick with a medium carbonation and it finishes bitter, slightly dry, with lemon zest, grass, some herbs and also slight metallic/burning notes, which I don’t like that much. Overall very good! This is how a fruity, American style IPA should be. Greatly balanced and loads of complex fruit notes. Only those subtle, unclean notes in the finish keep a higher rating.

Tap at the Mikkeller Bar, Copenhagen. Poured a hazy orange amber with a thin white head and lots of broken lace. The aroma is light nettle hop. The flavour is medium to strong bitter with a big hop bitter light mint palate with a long liqourice.bitter finish. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Clearly takes is roots from the US!

hazy dark orange colour, huge slightly yellowish off-white head;aroma of grapefruit, pine resin, some caramel, and sourish notes; taste is dominated by hoppy bitterness (citrusses and pine resin), however some maltyness can also be felt; brilliant IPA, as always from Mikkeller

Bottle from Hippo Beers. Murky amber body with a medium off-white head. Steady carbonation. Thick lacing marks. Aroma of oranges, lime and pot puri. Packed full of malt and hop flavours - caramel, pine, grapefruit and rubbed flower petals. Medium body with an oily texture. Soft carbonation. A smooth, fragrant IPA.
