16 ounce can bought from Cloudwater's online shop and drunk at home. Mid-golden and clear with a large white head and generous lacing. Sweet and slightly spicy honeyed yeast in the aroma with light notes of lemon and vanilla. Sweet taste but certainly not overpoweringly so, with a very light bitterness in the finish. Clean finish, carbonation on the heavy side. Very understated but enjoyable lager.

Ruekeller Helles from The Davis Beer Shoppe. Pours bright clear gold with a large foamy white head. Aroma is bready with grass/spice. Med body. Flavor matches aroma with addition of some floral. Lightly bitter. Good flavor.

Excellent helles, crisp and easy-drinking, with a mild grand sweetness accented by notes of lemongrass, apple, straw, and a gentle floral finish. Way too easy to make this pint disappear.

On tap at Bruery Terreux. Pours a hazy copper gold with large frothy white head leaving sticky lacing. The aroma is grass and earth. Medium body, corn wheat, light dry finish, very good.

Can at home picked from CW online. A mostly clear yellow straw coloured pour with a fine white head. Aroma is fairly clean, honey, light apple, earthy crisp grains. Quite plain. Flavour is composed of semi crisp light grains, honey notes, light leafy hops, apple notes. Palate is crisp, highish carbonation, light chalky.

Crystal clear golden coloured body with a nice, but small, single centimetre tall pure white head that leaves a fairly ugly lace on the side of the glass. Aroma of metal, malt, cream, light nuts and a rustic earthiness which shows a hint of the malted barley, but a slight astringency at the end makes this a but funky, but about right for a lot of lagers. Light-bodied; Crisp, grassy, grainy and floral malt characteristics dominate with a lot of lemons and acidic citrusey notes along with a subdued dose of sugars and herbal qualities near the finish, but the yeast is still evident as well. Aftertaste, a relatively complex and straight-forward lager with a nice hit of malt, lemons, metal, earth, sweetness and yeast, in that order, with a relatively smooth finish that focuses on the malts, lemons and sweetness. Overall, a fairly nice and easy-going lager with some nice flavours and a smooth, subtle complexity that is perhaps more than others in this style, but not saying too much, of course. Nice to sample, considering it's one of their more 'traditional' offerings, but still classy and worth sampling, especially if you like helles. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from the Department of Beer and Wine in Alexandria, Virginia on 28-August-2020 for US$4,22 sampled at my house here in Washington on 25-September-2020.

Milk, barley malt, and grass aroma. Slightly hazy golden yellow with giant white head. Moderately sweet lemon, milk, biscuit malt and mildly bitter grass flavor. Good body.
