Bottle shared at the CBC Islington for the jk tasting. Many thanks to the Wingman for this one. A clear reddy mahogany brown coloured pour with a small halo of tan head. Aroma is sweet, toffee, brown sugars, vanilla, big diacetyl popcorn. Sweet honey. Flavour is composed of woody sweet toffee, diacetyl, butterscotch. Palate is medium sweet, moderate carbonation, woody. Not great.

Bottle shared at the JK Tasting - Craft Beer Co., Islington. Many thanks to WingyDave. Pours deep brown with a frothy, tan head. Doughy brown bread in the nose, some subtle dark fruits, creamy caramel. Medium sweet flavour with further sugary bread, toffee, touches of milk chocolate. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Sweet on the finish, lightly sticky, with more toffee and dried, dark fruits. Fine enough.

Bottle, 0.50l, courtesy of Marcin. Pours murky almost black with thin creamy light brown head and sparkling appearance. Aroma of grapefruit, passion fruit, pine, cereals and mild roasted malt. Taste starts with light sweet roasted malt, caramel and coffee, following is grassy, citric and slightly medicinal, mouthfeel is mild spicy, while finish is moderate bitter. Medium body, creamy texture and average carbonation in palate. Weak start and much better following...

Barwa ciemnobrunatna, z jaśniejszymi przebłyskami, drobna piana średniej wielkości, kremowa, całkiem trwała i koronkująca. Aromat karmelu, kawy, paloności i cytrusowych chmieli.

Butelka 0.5l (04.06.2015). Barwa brunatna, opalizujaca. Piana jasno-bezowa, nawet trwala, drobna i delikatnie zdobiaca szklo. Aromat delikatny, slodow ciemnych, palony z cytrusowa nuta. Goryczka cytrusowa, wyrazna. Piwo delikatnie palone, lekko wytrawne, gladkie, pijalne. Ogolnie jest calkiem niezle.

Barwa ciemno brazowa z ladna bialo-bezowa piana. Aromat raczej ciemnych slodow niz cytrusow. W smaku ciemne, palone slody z wyczuwalna goryczka, troche piolunowa i palaca. Cytrusow (od chmieli) nie wyczuwam. W miare pijalne.

Completely black with amazing light beige head. Nice lacing. Awesome overall appearance. A lot of citruses in aroma. Also dark malts. Coffee and chocolate hints like in porters. Also some flowers. There is a hoppy aroma when sniffing from the bottle. I heard about diacetyl being perceptible, but in my beer it’s absent. High bitterness, moderate sweetness. Full body, slick texture, light carbonation. Amazing beer.

Black color with a nice tan head. Ok lacing. Coffee and diacetyl the aroma. Ok body. Tad sweet and an ok bitterness. Average to soft carbonation. Some chocolate, mild roasted, RICH coffee and some diacetyl in the flavor. Really horrible and unpleasant aroma. A bit better flavor. Could have been an ok coffee porter. Not much BIPA here.

Bottled 500ml. -Deep brown (almost black coloured), medium sized tan head that went away fast, hops and hint of chocolate in the nose. Light roasted malt, heavy caramel, mild chocolate and dried fruits with notes of hops and touch of cardboard in the finish. Rather dry finish without hoppy notes. Not bad but this isn’t black IPA for sure.
