A beer with a strong taste and caramel flavors
Maximator is the most intense of the Amsterdam range of beers. It’s a bottom-fermented Dutch lager weighing in at 11.6% ABV. The power and the intensity of its flavour make it Amsterdam's benchmark beer.
Conceived by the Amsterdam master brewer following the success of Navigator, it broadens the range, whilst faithfully conserving the maritime tradition inspired by the brand’s heritage.

Can. A golden beer with a huge fluffy off-white head. The aroma is sweet malty with strong notes of alcohol and some dusty. The flavor is very sweet with stong notes of alcohol and syrup, as well as some dusty hops, leading to a dry alcoholic finish. Thanks yespr for sharing.

500 ml can, supplied by my friend Olav. Brewed by "Dutch Export Breweries". ABV was 11.6%. Golden colour, moderate head. Weak aroma, a hint of white wine and honey. Very sweet and alcoholic flavour. Pretty bad.

Orange-gold beer under gushing (from a can! white head. Malt, corn, bit of caramel, initially very restrained nose; once warmed up, pure alcohol. Alcohol turboed coloured malt (corn?) taste. Pure alcoholsweetness, but the feeling is raw - it is as if it really were a spirit. Some spicey taste conveyed, that seems to be extracted with boiling alcohol, as in organic chemistry. British milk "chocolate" bar with cheap Jamaican rum. With this alcohol content, guess about palate and mouthfeel... Terribly raw aftertaste, dry. This is unbelievable.

Can. Pale golden beer topped by a large-bubbled white head. Sweet, malty aroma with lots of alcohol. The flavor much the same, but with even more alcohol. Very much alcohol in the finish as well. What’s the point making a beer where the alcohol totally overpowers the rest of the flavors and aromas? Maybe because you’re supposed to get drunk, and it doesn’t have much taste except for alcohol? (Bottle 50 cl) Clear, fully golden with a handsome, creamy, white head. Good retention leaving a neat lacework. Rather neutral aroma - some alcohol, sort of vodka like. Medium body - and not nearly enough to hold the alcohol. Sweetish, no real malt feel - only a strangely chemical alcoholic touch. The name could indicate a Doppelbock, but don’t get fooled - this is malt likka about as crude as they get. Funny with the inscription on the can in Arabic. Hopefully a strong warning - in the name of Allah.... 270606

Golden amber with thick foamy white head. Sweet grassy smell. Sourish flat taste that was not very lasting.

I don’t like malt liquors, but for a malt liquor, this is one of the better ones. However, it’s still crap and a disgrace for beer.

Darkish, lager color, no head. Alcoholic, sweet corn aroma. Alcoholic burn, sweet fruity flavor. Alcohol burns everything here.
