brown/black body with a light brown head. Active nose with roasted coffee, roasted malt, caramel, dark fruit and some booze. A well blended taste profile features much of the same. Hints of pastry, butter, and slightly bitter chocolate are well integrated. The body is slightly thinner than elite ISs, but that is a porter thing. Could sustain a little longer, but again I could be comparing this unfairly to imperial stouts. A very solid offering.

Bottle from Lekkerbier, Sint Nicolaasga. Aroma is roasted malt, Mezcal barrel, fruity notes, chocolate, orange zest, caramel, some alcohol, and wood. Flavour is medium sweet and mild bitter with some alcohol in the finish. Body is medium to full. Very nice, love the way the Mezcal interacts with the orange and chocolate.

Dark brown colour, not much head. Very nice aroma, chocolate, cake, vanilla, alcohol. Elegant body, moderately sweet; caramel flavour, not much malt depth, also the roastiness is very limited; strong alcohol, some spirit, mezcal/tequila vibes.

330ml @ Ryan's shared with Farees and Alex (thx for the beer, man!). Appearance: very dark brown with a beige head. Aroma: smoke, tons of mescal barrel, some nice sweetness here. Taste: along the same lines, some chocolate, little sweetness, some roasted malt bitterness. Overall: quite good one.

Poured from 330mL bottle. Very dark brown with minimal beige head. Roasty, thin earthy mezcal feintly in the background, just a hint of chocolate, underwhelming. Generally find the Pohjala cellar series is either great or, like this, meh.

Bottled@Littlepub, Vaasa. Brownish black colour with a small off-white head. Aroma is roasted malts, some coffee, alcohol and mild mezcal elements. Flavour is roasted malts, ashes, alcohol, chocolate, some toffee and mild nutty elements. Quite pleasant and enjoyable.

Bottle. Pitch black body under a small brown head. Nice aroma of dark, mild roasted malt, dark chocolate, dark fruit, some orange marmalade and warming alcohol. Taste is sweet, very smooth dark roasted malt, chocolate, oranges, marmalade, wood and smooth, warming alcohol. Fine body and long-lasting aftertaste. Super nice pastry porter without the sissy silliness.
