One and a half tons(!) of fresh cherry puree defines this surprisingly full Stout. At 6.5% this has the body and decadence of something much bigger, it smells of darkly roasted things like chocolate and barley and coffee, the cherry offers a tart sweetness that beautifully balances the chocolate character. Like a crackling fire, it will embrace you in its Stout warmth to stave off those winter blues

Can from Lupe Pintos. Black body with a thin off-white head. Patchy lacing. Aroma of milk chocolate and black cherry. Flavour of blackcurrant and cherry cola. Thin to medium body with a slick texture. Soft fizz. A well executed beer. Very enjoyable.

Spennende combo av syrlige kirsebær og en stout. Set er veldig vanskelig å finne rett balanse i noe slikt, men dette fungerer. Litt søt, men passende, og med en sjarmerende fyldig tyngde.

29/7/2019. Keg at Crafty Fellas, Leadenhall St Market, London. Pours very dark brown with a dark maroon tint and a small off-white head. Aroma of chocolate, sharp cherry, Black Forest gateau, vanilla ice cream and citrus. Very nice bitter, sweet and tart mix to taste. Medium plus body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Bittersweet finish with a lingering cherry tartness. Very nicely done.

Keg at the brewery tap. Pours unclear deep brown with a creamy khaki head. Has a strongly overt adjunct cocoa character to it, but the lightly tangy cherry notes clean it up a bit. Also some soft smokey notes, low bitterness. Medium bodied with light carbonation. Finishes with chalky cocoa addition, vague and lightly tart berries. Just so so.
