Can at home, 24th January 16. Pours a black beer, white head, looks fine. Aroma is grapefruit dusted with cocoa, dark chocolate, grass, floral. Taste is bitter chocolate integrated seamlessly into citrus and pine, with a long bitter sweet linger. Very good CDA

Bottle at home picked up from Beer Emporium Sandbach. Dark brown colored pour with reddy hues and a lasting mid tan coloured head. Aroma is tart zesty citrus, lemon juice, floral notes and light toast. Flavour is composed of base grains, with burnt toast and some earthy roast. Hops are tart bitter grapefruit, zesty citrus. Aggressive hop bitterness is a bit out of balance. Some jammy fruits. Palate is medium bodies, highish carbonation , airy, tangy finish. Littl hop resin on the finish. Big and bold, a good black ipa.

Bottle picked up at Eebria, consumed at home Wednesday 2nd September 2015 Can’t see through it so I am suggesting that this is nigh on black, with a large frothy creamy light beige head. Some roasty notes on the nose. Hoppy in the mouth, fruity with a roastiness and bitter edge and yet superbly smooth. This is a top drawer BIPA with a grapefruit edge. Lovely. A7 A5 T8 P4 Ov17 4.1

Bottle. Little Leeds Beer House. Clear, dark ruby red. Bubbly, messy tan head. Fruity chocolate malts. A nice brûléed grapefruit note. Pretty roasty. Bit of blackcurrant. Taste is chocolate sweet for about a second before a huge bosh of bitterness kicks in and stays the course. Full bodied. Soft carbonation. Finishes with more of the big bitterness. Very tasty. Bit at odds. Liked it though.

Craft Clerkenwell. Cask. Clear deep amber - brown beer, small cream colour head. Palate is light and semi dry, decent fine carbonation. Thin but robust dark malts, some roast but not too much sweetness. Hops are pretty bitter, but also bring good citric fruits and a little tropical fruits. Light finish. Strong bitter linger. Good cask CDA, no shrinking violet!
