The newest addition to our series of Kviek Pale Ales is here and it’s waiting to take you on a tropical getaway. Passionfruit paired with guava and key lime, and we tossed in Motueka and Azacca hops to kick up the lushness and flaked oats to keep things light and smooth.
First released as Island Time (July 2021), then released as Island Vibes (Feb 2022)

473 ml can. Pours a turbid amber with short head. Aromas of sulphur, guava, passion fruit, citrus and soft malts. Flavors of sweetened limes, guava, light passionfruit, spice like cinnamon, and more soft malts

Murky yellow body with little foam. Smells of tart peach, very wet. Taste is lots of peach juice, not much else of anything. Tart finish. Too much fruity sour without the pale ale to balance it out.

Draught at the brewery
Cloudy blond colour. Nice aroma of tropical fruit, guava, banana. Smooth mouthfeel, seems creamy, oaty, soft, with some tropical juice, very light acidity, light vegetable bitterness.
Basically, a hazy sour, which is not an improvement from a clean sour. But it's pleasant.

473mL can, pours a cloudy golden orange with a small white head. Aroma is loaded with passionfruit upfront, followed by bright citrus, and a touch of guava. Flavour is very bright, with lots of passionfruit and lime upfront, and a bit of lacto base. Bright, citrusy finish. Thankfully, the kveik isn't too noticeable. Pleasant fruity beer.

Poured from the tap. Cloudy gold with white head. Juicy tropical notes of mild passionfruit and guava with a touch of lacto and some kviek toning everything down.

At the brewery. Opaque and has a bit of a peachy colour. Fresh and bright pineapple, mango and citrus notes, and a juicy, refreshing tartness in there as well.
