As has been customary, the fourth entry has been and continues to be a dark entry. Bottle conditioning for 18 months, this particular arrangement is woven from threads including Biere de Norma, Edith, and E., barrels whose lineage ranged from Flora Cuvee and Vera Mae to Sue and Juicy. These components were composed and then dry-hopped with personally selected Motueka hops from Freestyle Farms, our agricultural partners in Upper Moutere, New Zealand, as well as Hersbrucker and Mittelfrüh from Seitz Farm—our agricultural partner in Wolnzach, Germany.

750mL bottle drunk 2/4/26, as pictured.
Lots of rich wine-like character with little hop remaining. Not overly woody, but there's certainly some barrel tannin structure. Mostly lactic acid here (as far as the Brett/Lacto/Acetic balance), but it's mostly round and fruity. Still very healthily aromatic with no oxidation or anything strange going on.
Interesting and different than expected. Lightly woody and lightly toasty with lots of lactic acidity, but not too much, and there's still a reasonable body/texture here at 5 years old. Some fruitiness and mild Brett retronasal, with cherry and plum lingering, as well. Overall, just a really easygoing, lightly woody, fruity, drinkable farmhouse ale with some interesting barrel and mixed culture character. Balance is quite lovely currently.

Bottle thanks to Will. Pours a cloudy amber with small beige head that lasts. The aroma is mineral, oak, leather. Slick body, leather, wood, raisin, mineral, light dry finish, very nice.

750ml pours a hazy dark brown with some white head. Nice nose, dark fruits and malts and apple cider vinegar, and some sour wood. Flavors of malt and cider vinegar and wood and some light port. Full bodied but dry and tart.
