With hops packed in like tents at Glastonbury, Revelry is a full-bodied, boisterous festival of a beer. It doesn’t matter if the sun isn’t shining at this Summer bash. We’ve got the tropical passionfruit flavours of New Zealand hop Rakau with the refreshing citrus twist of British Archer hops. You just bagged the last deck chair.

500ml bottle [label says Golden Ale]. Barely clear, brass-golden colour with average to huge, frothy, fairly lasting and lacing, white head. Citrusy hoppy and minimally funky, "wild" yeasty aroma, hints of lemon and lime, a spicy touch of fennel, weak pale malty background with a doughy yeasty touch (brioche or the like); the funky touch is admittedly close to citrus aromatised urinal cake. Taste is slightly grassy and citrusy hoppy, hints of lemon, lime and lemongrass, diluted apricot, chalky hints of lemon zest; sadly the survival of funky flavours occurs only in spheres of responsibilty with contiguity to homoeopathic domains. Light bodied and quite watery overall. Nevertheless rather - well, if not complex then - diversified for its low abv.

Bottled 500ml (AIH53, ABM)
Golden color, small white head. Fruity, even a bit candyish exotic hoppy aroma. Light-bodied. Pineapple, passion fruity, candy in the flavor. Some leafy and grainy notes too. Light citrusy aftertaste. Rakau has quite personal flavor.

The Sun Inn summer beer festival, Kelvedon. Cask. Clear amber beer, bubbly pale cream colour head. Palate is light, semi dry and with just modest fine carbonation. Malts are not that sweet, touch of caramel. Lightly bitter floral hops. Modest apple. A little spice and ripe fruits. Bitterish semi dry finish. Okay.
