Can shared at Craft Beer Junction tasting, thanks to Kenny, 15/11/23. Black topped with a good sized khaki head. Nose is mellow roast, spice, herb, dark fruit rinds, charr, dark malts. Taste comprises fruit cake mix, cocoa powder, mellow rum barrel, molasses, charr. Medium bodied with bite, light prickly carbonation, semi drying close with a gentle twist of barrel and whisper of alcohol. Not bad if a little underpowered.

Can shared in London - cheers to Ken. Pours deep brown with a frothy tan head. Medium sweet flavour, some ashy roast, nips of dark fruits. Full bodied with fine carbonation. Dry finish, lightly warming, scorched earth. Tasty.

Craft Beer Junction bottle share, thanks to me for the can. Opaque dark brown beer, good tan head. Airy palate, semi dry, decent fine carbonation. Fluffy dark chocolate malts, a little dark malt cream. Mild roast. Decent fruity rum barrel on the back end along with smooth barrel induced vanilla. Semi dry finish brings a mild boozy spice. Nice job. Light mouthfeel but rich flavour.

Can. Pitch black colour with a small beigeish brown head. Aroma is rum, some toffee, mild dried fruits as well as some slight sweet alcohol tones. Flavour is rum, some mild roasted and toasted tones with a wee bit of dried fruits and alcohol. Smooth, and almost too easy to drink.

Dark brownish black, unstable brown head. Bit thin body, but alcoholic. Smell is definitely some rum and their export porter. Taste is a bit confused, some roasty meaty burnt edges of BBQ'd ribs, and plenty of herbal rum. Doesn't fully work, but tasty.

Appearance: opaque deep brown to black with a moderate beige head of decent retention. Nose: roasted malts, coffee, burnt chocolate pie crust, oak barrel, slightly smoked, rum hints. Taste: light sweet, roasted, chocolate and coffee, obvious oak barrel, a hint of smoke, light alcohol. Light bitterness. Palate: medium body, soft to medium carbonation. Overall: classy, still not among best of the series. I wish it had less oak notes.

Can 33 cl. Pours an opaque black with a tiny, beige head. Nose is odd though, really smells like paint thinner or some other solvent - not pleasant. Medium body only, lowish carbonation, sweet roast with some boozy notes that apparently are Rum. Not a fan. 180220
