Bottled@Monks Café Wallingatan, Stockholm. Hazy yellowish golden colour with a small white head, that leaves some slight lace. Aroma is ruity, lemony, mild wheaty as well as some mild papery notes. Flavour is lemon, some mild wheat, sweet maltyness as well as some mild yeastyness.

12 oz. bottle from Whole Foods Charlottesville. Hazy pour and a color somewhere between peach and lemon. One finger white head lasts quite some time. Very yeasty nose with some pear, spice and banana notes. Very dry taste with notes of lemon, yeast and spice. A little tart.

12 oz. bottle. Aroma of orange and coriander. Hazy golden color with a white head that ringed quickly. Thin in body, creamy in carbonation. Orange peel bitter in flavor, and there does seem to be coriander, but this is all about the citrus. The finish is like orange oil with bitter. Citrus bitter. Startling and refreshing.

Sampler at Family Liquors, Homewood. Clean smell of bottled wit, and a yellow color with just a bit of haze. I’d say the taste is right between a wit and a Hacker-Pschorr. Lacks the banana and is low on spices, but that makes for a better-drinking summer beer.

OK, another beer from those green people Otter Creek. Beautiful swirling appearance when you pour this properly into your glass. We have the gunk on the bottom of the bottle to thank for that. This is one lazy golden spinning tempest of aesthetic pleasure. Initially has some hint of soap on the palate. Good clean aroma that is refined and royal, tho sparse. Some initial alcohol bite, provides a slight bitter nip. Flavor gets better as you continue to drink. Good creamy carbonation. The bitterness does not decrease, it just becomes more acceptable. Belgian white is a difficult style to live up to. A little better than Samuel Adams White Ale but not as good as wttekirke, pax and good old hoegaarden. Finish is very acceptable but disciplined mildly, with a hint of alky bitterness.

Pour is a cloudy orange with a creamy looking white head. Aroma is lots of corriander with some citrus and spice. Flavor is about the same. Some corriander and spice with a touch of the yeast and some citrus. A pretty decent rep of the style.

I have not been impressed with the beers from this company. This was the first time I have had this one from them though. Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a cloudy pale yellow with a very small white head that fades very quickly. The aroma is dry spices and citrus. The flavor is surprisingly dry with moderate dry citrus and strong dry spices. There is a bit of vague graininess on the finish. This beer really did get much better after being let warm up a bit.

Pale golden coloured body with some hazy highlights and a frothy white head that goes away quickly. Aroma of coriander seed, lemons, cloves and some wheat. Light to Medium-bodied; Decent flavour of spice & sweetness with little else, fairly bland and subtle for the style. Aftertaste showcases some of the coriander seed freshness. Overall, an alright beer, but I was expecting much more from an otherwise top-notch brewer! I sampled this on ’pseudo-draught’ at the Old Dominion Brew Festival 2004 on 27-June-2004 in Ashburn, Virginia.

Bottle Pours a pale slight;y hazy golden with a small fizzy white head. Gone in only a mment there is barely enough to leave any lacing at all. Aroma is fruity and spicy but faintly so. Taste is dry and light. The typical Belgian flavors are subdued here. Slight citurs peel flavors and a lively carbonation. Finish is clean and quick with a little citrus bitterness.
