A light-coloured beer with plenty of late Boadicea hops and stem ginger added to the cask for a delicious ZING of fresh ginger.

[Gravity cask at Chippenham Beer Festival] Light gold. Ginger is evident but is well balanced against the smooth, creamy, malty beer. Surprised me by being one of the better ginger beers I’ve had.

Cask. Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is bready malts, some mild fruits and nectar along with mild honey. Flavour is quite similar. Rather typical golden/blond ale.

28th September 2007. St Albans Beer Fest. Oh dear. This rate comes at the end of a long days drinking. All I wrote was ’A very light ginger ale, very drinkable’

(Cask at Kitty’s, Helsinki) Poured golden and almost clear with small white head. Aroma contained spices and fruitiness. Palate was medium bodied with low carbonation. Tasted of malts, ginger, hops, bitterness and lightly fruity. Ginger and bitterness in aftertaste.

Cask@Kitty’s.
Yellow color, steady white head. Dish cleanser lemony aroma with hints of ginger. Light palate. Lemony fruity flavor with lots of ginger. A bit sweet too. Summer drink which is not very exciting.

Cask (South Western Arms, Southampton) - Golden in colour. Spicy aroma with ginger, hops and spicy malt. The taste is hoppy with some citrus elements and a bit of a spicy kick from the ginger. Refreshing and enjoyable.

Bottle that a friend had brought along to Towersey Festival 2009 Poured amber with a white bubbly head, bit sharp and most ungingerlike, in fact I would suggest that this is probably infected, its very poor, couldn’t even finish my fairly modest sample, told my friend to inform his supplier (CAMRA beer club) that this was no good because I also had a sample the night before which was equally ropey. Will try again on cask hopefully. A3 A4 F2 P1 Ov5 1.5

Cask-conditioned at the Royal Oak, Bath 18/07/09. Pale gold with a slight white head. Aroma had hints of citrus and ginger. Flavour was sweet and malty with some ginger in the finish. A bit dull.
