Half litre bottle on 5th December 2025. Mini tasting session with myself, Margie in Chester Christmas shopping and I'm home alone (Bertie is watching though). Poured twice into my lovely old (0.3 litre) tall vase shaped Paderborner Goldpilsener glass. Light golden body, bright, clean and clear, carbonation bubbles rising to the snow white crown. Mild hop aroma, but not much of anything really, taste also a little 'bland'. Not a lot going on to be honest (it is the fifth beer of the tasting, after some slightly stronger ABV brews), but it's OK, really refreshing and a decent enough Helles. Bought it in Cochem on the Mosel, while on a road trip.

Sehr helle Farbe. Deutliche Trübung, das geht würde anderswo als Zwicklbier durchgehen. Cremiger Schaum. Nicht viel und hält nicht lang. Etwas Blumen und Getreide in der Nase. Beim Trinken spielt helles, trockenes Malz die Hauptrolle, etwas Frucht und ein Hauch florale Nuancen ergänzen. Anfangs hat man noch eine leichte Eisennote. Das ist nach ein paar Schluck kein Thema mehr. Dafür wirkt dann das Getreide etwas leer und spelzig - nicht dramatisch, nicht großartig störend. Angenehme, weiche Konsistenz mit feinperlige Kohlensäure. Das Bier hat schon ein paar Schwächen, ist aber trotzdem sehr süffig und insgesamt recht gefällig.

Bottle. Clear gold featuring a proper white head that’s soon ago. Aroma of grains, bread with a little bit of vanilla. Taste of straw, grains, bread, metal and minerals. Low bitterness. Medium carbonation. It‘s ok no more on less.

0.5 l bottle stolen from Bare. Clear golden, small off-white head. Aroma is grainy, bready, lightly herbal, lightly spicy. Mineral, light body, soft, sweet, floral, some esters, apple, perfume. Minimal bitterness, abrupt finish.
