Small, cream-coloured head over reddish opaque brown beer; -1 point for the unnecessary wax. Wood, plywood, wet cardboard, oak, lactic acid, milkchocolate, brettanomyces. More of the same, plus a hint of cassonade. Finishes as a mix of lactic acid, chocolate and cowfodder. Medium bodied at best, some acidthinning. Quite slick, well-carbonated. Not bad, but I've had score of non-indigenous Oud Bruin brews that were much more close to the real thing.

Dark chestnut brown with a lasting off-white head. Malty aroma with toffee and biscuit along with hints of cherry, dried fruit and funk. Dry and tart fruity flavour with a touch of yeast.

Funky shaped bottle I picked up in Paris. 50cl? 33cl? Dunno. Heavy wax too. Pours an oily, garnet amber with a ring of head that faded quick. Flavor has port, cranberry, date, caramel, fig, malt, some red wine vinegar. Flavor has more of that dried dark fruit, figs and dates and raisins, the acidity is clearly red wine vinegar now, there's some soggy barrel too. Caramel as well. A bit flabby on the end, perhaps it's aged out just a bit too much? Finishes medium bodied, medium acid.
