(Can) Black colour with brief, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with chocolate truffles, coconut, vanilla, prunes, black coffee, caramel and a touch of smoke. Malty, sweet taste with notes of chocolate, coconut, prunes, sweet black coffee, marzipan, almonds, vanilla, syrup, caramel and a balanced cacao bitterness in the finish. Full body, sweet. A bit too sweet and fairly artificial, but really rich and tasty. Very nice.

Pours black with a tan head. Aroma has notes of roasted malt, alcohol, chocolate, maple and brown sugar. Taste is medium to heavy sweet and medium bitter with a long warm, roasted, chocolate, coffee and maple finish. Body is full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Dark brown pour with no head. Tons of maple syrup in the aroma, dominating everything else. The flavour includes notes of maple syrup, burnt caramel, vanilla, instant coffee, smoke and some bacon. Very surprised that the bacon is so easily identifiable. As others have said, this beverage is far from a traditional beer, but what a beautiful dessert stout! Almost as good as the original.

A pitch black, almost without head. Aroma has chocolate, nuts, liquorices salt liquorice, some coconut, hint of coffee and alcohol. Powerful aroma. Taste has salt liquorice, caramel, hazelnut, chocolate, quite sweet. Strenght of alcohol, but it can't be taste. Liquorice icecream in the aftertaste. Full bodied, not much of stickyness. Aroma is increadible, complex and balanced, but not so balanced taste anymore. Overally, huge and great beer.

Can. Black. Peanut and chocolate in the aroma. Vanilla, coffee. Massively sweet, roast, alcohol, peanuts, chocolate, coffee. Vanilla. Thick mouthfeel.

On tap at Unorthodox. What a cocktail! Jet black with beige head. Nose reveals coconut, bacon and maple syrup and on tongue you feel that nose was not lying. It's everything from above over each other but surprisingly blends very well. Excellent sipper, not for everyone apparently but works more than well with me. I would love to return to it in winter again.

Clear dark brown beer, small creamy beige head, stable, non adhesive. Aroma: all maple syrup, roasted pecan nuts, very roasted. MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: nice, lots of maple, sugary, roasted, soft acidity, lots of dark chocolate, little sweet. Aftertaste: roasted pecan nuts, chocolate, maple, soft acidity, not sugary, very nice!

Can at home. Pours black, nose is marshmallow, bacon, chocolate, coffee, roasted, smoky, taste is similar, sweet, surprisingly a bit on the thin side.
