Sample (thanks fonefan!). Black colour, small brown head. Aroma is liquorice, toffee, some very sweet tones with midl vanilla too. Flavour is vanilla, some alcohol, mild toffee and some chocolaty tones. Like a dessert.

aroma of port wine, bourbon, wood wine cellar,buttery coconut, roasted malts. Aroma is a lot of barrel aged notes and then the toasted coconut, the bourbon barrel notes dominate. Very nice aroma if you like bourbon barrel aged imp stout, I do.. pours near black with a very dark quite large head that settles very slowly into a light brown ring in the glass. Looked awesome just after being poured. strong bourbon barrel aged flavor, burning alc. a bit brutal, candy sweetness, I get some coconut but also something resembling sugar sweet candy, and then the roasted malts of course. A bit too sugary sweet for me. I think if I mixed this with a smooth ordinary strong imp stout it would become less sweet and more perfect.

Crowler thanks to Mo. Pours black with small tan head that lasts. The aroma is chocolate malt, coconut, and vanilla. Slick body, milk chocolate, toasted coconut, sweet, hides alcohol well, very nice.

Bottle. Pours opaque black, small tan head, decent lacing. Aroma is fudge, vanilla, coconut, bourbon, molasses. Flavor is medium plus sweet, light plus bitter. Medium body. A bit hot.

Bottle thanks to Rich. It pours darkest brown to black with a small dark brown head. The aroma is sweet, vanilla, bitter - sweet, perfumed, toasted marshmallow, nougat, candy cane, cake frosting, cacao, brownies, toffee and brownie bread. The taste is slick, oily, fulsome, chewy, woody, vanilla, toasted marshmallow, chocolate brownie, boozy alcohol hit, dried fruits, fudgey, rich roasted malt, vanilla and some booze with a slick finish. Fulsome body and moderate carbonation. Filthy.

19th February 2022, 5oz pour on a flight in The Brewhouse, San Juan Capistrano. Tanned topping on a black body, malty, boozy, chocolatey and very good!

[ As Mikkeller San Diego Toasties Shake - Aged in Bourbon Barrel ].
ABV: 13.5%. Clear dark black brown colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting to diminishing, beige head. Aroma is light heavy malty, toasted - roasted, dark malt, sweet malt, dark fruit, vanilla, barrel, chocolate, light coconut. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet with a long duration, dark malt, chocolate, vanilla, dark fruit, toasted - roasted, rich, barrel - bourbon, light coconut. Body is medium to full, texture is oily - creamy, carbonation is soft, finish feel is warming and light to moderate alcoholic. [20211016]

Tap at Konepaja Biergarten Festival, Helsinki. Color is very dark brown with very small head. Aromas and flavors: Some Bourbon, chocolate, some vanilla ... heavy but pretty nice
