Almost opaque dark brown beer, a few dark tan bubbles don't even come close to forming a head. Palate is fairly dry and has modest fine carbonation. Tangy dark malts, bitterish but pretty fruity dark chocolate. Something like liqueur soaked raisins on the pretty spicy finish. Seems more like 15% than 8.1%, but tasty enough.

Bottle, deep dark brown color. Roast but also Grappa in the aroma. Soft perfumed notes. Malty sweet, soft roast, oak, anis, Grappa in the flavor. Soft floral notes. No carbon whatsoever. Almost full bodied.

330ml bottle. Black with no head. Aroma of boozy raisins. Taste of boozy raisins, perhaps a touch of liquorice... seriously this doesn't even taste like beer, far too much grappa barrel I guess because I'd never think this was a porter in a million years. Medium body, very smooth, and very flat. Bit of a weird one, like the taste of it but this isn't a porter any more.

330ml bottle. Darkest brown colour, no head. Sweet-ish, chocolately, dark malty aroma, hints of caramel, toffee, malt lozenge. Taste is sweet-ish, chocolately dark malty, alcoholic fruity Grappa overtones, a minimally metallic touch. Smooth and soft, minimally sticky palate, soft to flat carbonation.

Bottled. Near black, small head. Huge aroma of grappa. Mid sweet with near full body and rounded mouthfeel. Grappa and licorice. Unsubtle, for sure. But really tasty. And probably suitable on a Svalbard spring day.
