Can shared on train, thanks to Colin for this one. A pale nut brown coloured pour with a fluffy beige head. Aroma is metallic, rusty penny, hazelnut, earthy brown leaves. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, rounded nutty malts, hazelnut, light vanilla, earth, toasted sweet brown bread. Palate is semi sweet, finishes semi dry, rounded body, moderate carbonation. Decent.

Can on the train from Brussels to Antwerp, from an IP trade with Stevoj, 07/12/18. Clear chestnut brown with a decent beige cap that retains well. Nose is nutty, toffee, dried fruits, cocoa sprinkle, brown sugar. Taste comprises toffee, brown sugar, dried fruits, raisins, brown bread, slightly sour lIlt to the fruits. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Fine for the style.

Can from MarCellars. Dark brown with nice rocky head, thick rings of lacing. Probably one of my least favorite styles, but this one has some character. Great pour and big, full, dense aroma. Toasted malts , nutty. Taste is more of the deep roasty notes, with a hint of sweetness that seems to come out of nowhere. Bitter and sweet.

Bomber from the Canyon Village grocery in Yellowstone National Park. Pours ruddy dark brown with a transient beige head. Aroma is very chocolate with a hint of nuts. Med body. Flavor is chocolate with a little lightly greasy nuttiness. A very tasty brown ale that finishes nicely bitter.

Bottle - Rich coffee aroma with the slightest bit of alcohol. Rich opaque brown with a nice thin but persistent brown head. Roasted coffee, malts, tinge of bitterness and alcohol on the finish. The ’nut’ is lost on me but it is a nice dark beer, a little strong and more like a porter

Bomber into dimpled mug. Pours dark brown with amber highlights showing through when held up to the light. Has a small beige head that dissipates into a resilient blanket of foam. Aroma is bready, nutty, syrupy, milky; has faint notes of anise. Taste is lightly sweet and just a tad bitter. Has a nice nutty flavor but the body is thin. Enjoyable.
