On tap at Weltenburg Kloster, nr Kelheim, Saturday 10th October 2020 after a 9-10km hike through the woods. Pours hazy orange gold with a mid sized white head. Lovely soft mouthfeel, light citrus, yeasty bite, refreshing though on such a wet day I wasn't looking for refreshing. Good beer.

Gyllengul mot ljust bärnstensfärgad vätska med tjock och kraftigt skum. Det första som träffar snoken är dofter av skumbana och nejlika. Smaken är rund och fyllig med nejlika och mer skumbanan. Saknar dock ett litet syrligt avslut.

Bottle from Beers Of Europe. Pours a murky muddy orange colour with a huge thick creamy white head. Strong aromas of bananas and cloves with added notes of bubblegum, wheat and yeast. Taste has more bananas, cloves and bubblegum with hints of apples and pears. Light to medium bodied with a smooth slightly oily mouthfeel. it’s a very good Hefeweizen maybe not quite the best but certainly better than most i have tried. Nice.

Bottle from Beers Of Europe. Hazy golden body with a white head that holds well. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of green banana, white bread and orange pith. Flavour of salted bread, grass and lime. Medium body with a smooth mouthfeel. Soft fizz. Another quality beer from one of my favourite German breweries.

Hazy golden, almost no head. Aroma is good estery fruity base bready toasty and some sweet dough. Taste is minerally a bit on the sour side. A bit chewy in the mouth. Ok drinkability. Not bad. A bit scratchy on the tongue though.

Zunächst sehr spritzig, vielleicht sogar etwas zu viel Kohlensäure. Täuscht so etwas mehr Substanz vor, als tatsächlich vorhanden ist. Herb, fruchtiger Geschmack. Recht süffig, allerdings kommt ab dem Mittelteil nicht mehr viel. Hatte ich deutlich kräftiger in Erinnerung.

50 cl bottle @ hotel room, Berlin. BBE 11.04.2020 Aroma has banana esthers and fruity yeast. Flavour has wheat, some banana esthers and fruits. Slightly cardboard-ish. Basic hefe.

Bottle. Malty aroma and taste, banana, spicy notes, light sour and bitter. Medium to full body, malty bitter finish. Nice ballanced, good.
