Bottle from Schneider's Getränke-Welt, Saarlouis. Light hazy yellow with a white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, light fruity and moderate hoppy - grass. Flavor is medium sweet and moderate bitter. Dry and moderate bitter finish. 210725

On tap at Schnitzlbaumer brewery and tap, we're sat outside on the wonderful Bier terrace, Traunstein Saturday 2nd July 2022 on a 52km Waging am See Traunstein loop. Pours hazy yellowy colour with a white head. Incredible hoppy nose and seriously hoppy burps, this is like sticking your head in a big sack of hops, the taste is good, appearance great but nothing quite lives up to that aroma.

330 ml bottle. Cloudy yellow, big fluffy head. Lemon, gtassy hops, hay, sourdough, floral notes. Hoppy bitterness, some sweetness. Medium bodied, oily, lively carbonated, dry grassy hoppy bitter finish. Decent.

Als Schnitzlbaumer Mandarina Bavaria Hell mit 4,9% Alkohol erworben ... Optisch sehr helgolden bis fahl ocker mit einer deutlichen Trübung. Die weiße, fein- bis mittelporige Schaumkrone zeigt sich flaumig, sehr stabil und sehr gut haltbar. Die Nase wird von süßen Zitrusaromen umschmeichelt. Mandarine, Orange, aber am ehesten wie künstliche Orangenbrause. Leicht grasige Noten lassen sich ebenso vernehmen. Der Antrunk kommt sehr spritzig und leicht saftig. Am Gaumen süßlich-fruchtig, zitrusaromatisch, leicht säuerlich sowie dezent herb - also klar Hopfenbetont. Das alles wirkt mäßig vollmundig und erinnert an Fruchtsaft bzw. Brause. Die Trübstoffe sorgen für eine sanfte Fülle, ein passables Mundgefühl und eine akzeptable Süffigkeit. Im Abgang flacht die Aromatik ziemlich schnell ab und es bleibt ein leicht säuerlicher bis hefiger Charakter über. Etwas später machen sich florale Hopfenaromen breit. Natürlich ist es interessant, mit Mandarina Bavaria zu stopfen. Und sicher mag dieses Bier so einigen gefallen - vor allem, weil man es in dieser Art und Weise nicht so oft ins Glas bekommt. Man kann aber sicher darüber streiten, ob man diese Aromatik dann auch wirklich braucht. Ich für meinen Teil finde es zwar nicht uninteressant, aber phasenweise wirkt dieses Bier nicht so ganz ausgereift und vielleicht etwas unrund.

Flascherl: Light golden,hazy, loose and rather quickly collapsing white head, mild to moderate bitter-sweetish aroma of citrussy to herbal hops, a certain grainy fruitless (+ traces of yeast?) underneath; mild bitter-sweet flavour, relatively light bodied and a bit tart; mildly lingering fruity-hoppy finish with grainy spots. Just O.K....

On tap at the brewpub. A clear pale golden beer with a mid-sized most good lasting white head. Aroma of mild fruity hops, citrus, pale malt. Taste of fresh bitter citrusy hops, pale malt, some grains, long bitter finish.

(bottle, 33cl) Hazy, pale golden colour with a blond mid-sized foamy head. Yeasty-spicy, herbal, hay-like and slightly fruity hoppy aroma with notes of citrus and tangerine. Mildly bitter and slightly sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a crisp carbonation. Dry and slightly strawy malty base with present hay-ish and fruity hops; dry and mildly bitter finish with fruity and slightly sweet hops lingering into the aftertaste. Good. 22.VI.18
