Black with a lasting tan head. Roasted aroma of liquorice and dark sugar with a touch of smoke. Magnificent old school porter flavour with liquorice, dark sugar, coffee beans and smoke, with good balance from just the right kind of light citrus hops (has to be Columbus?)

Overall decent beer. Below median for the style. Just simple plain and uneventful. While mostly clean, it is hiding some sharp acidity. Taphouse cooenhagen

Taster, Taphouse. Pitch black, sizeable and ok lasting coffee coloured head. Quite roasted nose, some coffee notes and slight cocoa, black currant. Moderate bitterness, a bit sharp. Quite roasted. Some alcohol warmth. More chocolate later on. Medium roasted aftertaste. Medium full body. A bit too sharp, but nice.
