Bottle from the brewery. Cloudy black, quickly thinning, beige head. Aroma of carrot cake, pumpkin pie (by association), brownie, chocolate sauce, cinnamon, clove, vanilla custard, coffee liqueur. Taste has sweet pear & raisin in a malt body of chocolate, brownie & pie with fitting spicy notes. Herbal hoppy finish, bit peppery, lingering carrot cake, chocolate sauce & some coffee roast, dash of warming liqueur-like alcohol. Medium to full body, thin oily texture, average carbonation. Typical Prairie fun, but not too bad actually.
At first it legit tasted like carrot cake but maybe it was that "just poured" nose. After that it was more cake mix stout than anything, still was gnarly fun upfront.

Bottle at home. Pours black with orange floaty bits, nose is chocolate, vanilla frosting, cream, carrot, spices, taste is similar, sweet. Pretty weird, but something about it works.

Dark pour. Delicious beer! Molasses, cinnamon, and sticky bun flavor. Sweet and decadent. No carbonation.

Molasses, cinnamon aroma with hints of soy sauce and wet dog. Black, thin brown head. Molasses, prune, cola. Full body, easy carbonation. Cloying without the nice flavors that this brewery usually provides. Either this was a bit of a miss for me or I'm getting tired of pastry stouts.

Bottle. A- Carrot cake, cream cheese frosting. A- Black color, black liquid, no head. T- Carrot cake, spice, vanilla icing, cocoa. P- Full body, thick texture, average carbonation, slightly sweet finish. O- This really does taste like a carrot cake with frosting included. The left a super hardcore stain on the glassware. Very good dessert beer and I enjoyed this a ton.

Bottle from Livonia Liquor. Pours a deep brown to black with a finger of brown head that dissipates. Lots of chocolate, and dark chocolate on the nose. As it warms some carrot cake spice comes out. Nice viscosity on the palate some more chocolate with ginger, cardamon and cinnamon with vanilla and icing coming out as it warms.
